I am not a fan of chiropractors having had a bad experience years ago. In the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew flood clean up in my home, I severally strained my back. Trusted friends who swear by Dr Hillary and Dr John recommended Matanzas Chiropractic. It was the best advice!! These doctors could not have been more attentive or helpful. Unlike the three days a week regimen no one has time for, you are seen as needed. When you call, a receptionist answers the phone – rarely do you receive vm. Calls are promptly returned. Appointments are scheduled expediently – no three week waits. The office schedule is well-managed so I am seen within minutes of my scheduled time - always. The office is immaculate and equipment well-maintained. Most important is their competence, ethics, kindness, and the effectiveness of treatment. Every step is thoroughly, clearly, and well-explained as you go. Visits are less frequent now - maybe twice a month – as needed. I give this practice my highest recommendation as well as my gratitude!

This review should have been posted months ago, as Dr. Hornocker should have his license revoked for what he did to me. He doesnt deserve even one star. After his treatment, during which he tried to do something to my lower back, I experienced EXTREME PAIN!! I had told him prior to treatment NOT to even touch my lower back! The extreme pain continued for a few weeks during which time I could not drive so I had to take cabs, etc. When I picked up my records, they had obviously been changed so they stated things looking as if I was in extreme pain in my back when I came in. I came in for treatment in my neck area for a migraine!! Then Dr. H. wanted me to sign a release drawn up by his attorneys...I thought he should at least pay for all my cab fares, and I still do. But he is not an honorable or honest man and does not do the right thing. He is not an ethical doctor.

I am a 67 year old male who has been seeing a chiropractor in Illinois where I live for 15+ years for neck and back problems. I have always thought that my chiropractor was excellent and still do. However when visiting Saint Augustine in Marchmy back was acting up so I looked for chiropractor there and found Dr. John. Dr. John worked on me for at least a half hour using a variety of techniques. When I left the office, I had the greatest sense of overall well-being Ive experienced in quite some time. We stay is the Saint Augustine area for about two months each year and I now I have another reason to look forward to returning. I highly recommend Dr John and Matanzas chiropractic.

I pulled a muscle and had terrible pain in my ribs so I called Dr. John and he worked on me for over 30 minutes! When I got to his office I could hardly get out of my car but now I hardly have any pain and can function normally. Thank you Dr. John! I had a pain going down my right arm for a couple months and it was getting to the point where I couldnt sleep. Dr. John Hornocker relieved my pain on my first visit to him. I was so impressed I made an appointment to learn more about nutrition and I learned that he is an expert in this field. He helped me understand how my body works and what to eat and not eat. I feel so much better after going to Matanzas Chiropractic.

Following an auto accident, I sought out chiropractic services for treatment of my injuries, and I was offered an appointment within 2 days of the accident. Dr. John explained the treatment protocol thoroughly and IMMEDIATELY eased the pain so that I could function better. Subsequent sessions have been indispensable. Great communication between Dr. John and massage therapist Chris. ALL concerns, questions, and issues are dealt with immediately, thoroughly and from an incredible knowledge base. LOVE THESE GUYS and would recommend to anyone seeking chiropractic services! Gave them my BEST OF vote this year!

I absolutely love this chiro place. I moved to St Augustine 2 years ago from Jacksonville. I used several Chiropractics in Jacksonville and was uneasy about finding a good one in St Augustine. Well I found this place. I have lower and middle back pain and Hillary did her magic in just 3-4 visits. I will continue using this place for my chiro needs going forward.
