I had a appointment scheduled 2 months ago, when I showed up for the appointment the office was closed. The woman at the front desk claimed to have called my phone number (which hasnt changed in 10 years) but there is no missed calls or messages on my phone. On top of that, they had sent me a text message the day before to confirm my appointment. The woman at the front desk said that the text confirmation system is not linked to the office, as if that makes sense. They then rescheduled my appointment for 2 months out because that was the first availability. I showed up 5 minutes early for my 2 p.m. appointment and was the only person in the waiting area for 30 minutes. Turns out the woman forgot to pull my chart and nobody thought to check. Finally when I went to check on the status of my appointment they realized their mistake. The dental hygienist pulls me back for an x-ray, as I watch her enter my name I realize that she is entering the wrong patient information. Then, and complete violation of HIPAA, she shows me the name of the patient whose charge she has and asked me if thats me. When I said no the girl at the desk told her while I wait just go ahead and take my x-rays anyways. I told her know that I didnt want unnecessary X-rays and waiting getting unnecessary x-rays was no different than waiting in the front office. The girl at the desk then claimed that the mix-up was because my appointment was scheduled six months ago with a dental hygienist who is no longer there. Which was clearly a lie. Then while cleaning my teeth the high dentist pulls on my actual tooth to get it clean saying that theres a lot of plaque there. I told her no thats my tooth. She then pulls out cloth and losses between my teeth and claims oh I got it dont worry which was a lie. I have no confidence in their team Newark and their honesty in terms of their work or dealing with patients. I work in the medical field, I understand mistakes happen however when everyone is lying to try to cover their own butts then nothing will be changed. Very unhappy and does not Inspire confidence.

I had a scheduled regular maintanace exam/cleaning. After an examination the the dentists recommended deep cleaning which would cost me $650 out of pocket with my current insurance. We had a discussion and education on best treatment options, possible complications, etc. I verbalized undersgandig and opted out from the deep cleaning wanting to complete above the gum line debridement at which point the hygienist (Lourdes) declined treatment and advised me to seek care elsewhere, if I do not accept the deep cleaning treatment option. She was extremely unprofessional, incompetent, argumentative, and declined to provide any type of care (which is absolutely illegal). In addition, Ive been a patient of Brighnow dental for the past 4 years and neither herself nor the dentist nor the second hygienist (Annabel), who performed the required intervention by me, bothered to look over my chart or PMH. Therefore, I was treated as this "noncompliant and incompetent" patient while Ive followed my plan of care with exception of the past several months due to insurance restrictions (not by choice). In an effort to protect her coworker, Annabel even went as far as telling me it would be a "neglect" if the deep cleaning was not performed. I dare to say, if a fully grown adult without mental impairment is making a sound desicion regarding their medical treatment all it needs to be done is proper documentation, not arguing with the patient! Needless to say, I am never coming back to this office. However, perhaps there needs to be a better staff education and definitely more professionalism implemented!

I had the worst experience at this place. I had tissue graft surgery for receding gums. The surgery itself was very unpleasant but the worst part was the results of the surgery. The dentist did 3 teeth and only one had any noticeable improvement in the gum line appearance. His excuse was that the putty that they put in place to hold the repair in place fell off sooner than normal. Reputable companies that take pride in their reputation would make things right for their customers. Had I read these previous customer reviews on this site I would have never got involved with this company. i should have followed my gut feeling that day and left when I had a chance. I am now looking for a new dentist. I guess it pays to research the company. I know I will from now on.

The staff of Bright Now on Waters Avenue is very friendly and well-organized. I arrived early to complete my paperwork for a first-visit and was called for x-rays as soon as I finished. I was assisted by Sandra who helped me through the process and answered my questions from start to finish. In quick succesion, I had my gums thoroughly examined for disease, my teeth cleaned and my mouth examined for cancer by different personnel. Lastly, I received a flouride treatment. There was no lag time in this process. I want them all to know I appreciate their skills and services and for making me comfortable. This is where I will always go for dental cleaning.

Im now switching to another dentist, after going to the bright now office on w.waters for a couple of years. the final straw was when they canceled my appointment around christmas, but never called me (although they said they did--a lie). its the second time they made an appointment for me near a holiday, then had to cancel. dont they know when theyre going to be closed? so much for my benefits that expired at the end of the year! and on my last successful visit, the xray machine was broken, so they didnt do an exam, just a poor-quality cleaning. theyve also refused to do two exams per year, even though my insurance pays for it. enough! im switching.

Terrible customer service made me wait an extra hour and a half to be seen even though I arrived to my appointment on time.Once you get to the back its the same thing they put in some nova cane into your mouth then give you "time for it to set" which is usually like an hour at a time so they can help other patients. There is only one dentist there and she is great when you actually see her because she has 5 other patients at a time.Dont take their insurance quote lightly they told me Id have to pay $150 out of pocket and it ends up being $600 when I ask why they rudely say call the insurance.

Unprofessional and disorganized. Arrived early for an consultation, had to wait an hour after my appointment. Had another appointment scheduled next day, they called asking for information I already provided the day before. Then when I asked why they were requesting information they already had, the receptionist went on saying this is normal for last second appointments putting the omnus on me. I made both appointments 2 weeks prior. What really worries me is that if they cannot resolve their clerical issues, how am I supposed to trust this organization with my oral health?
