I had a bad molar that was extracted by Dr. Wagner and it didnt go well. She was able to get it out, but not without me experiencing great pain. I had 12 Novocain shots and I still felt the final part of the extraction, which she had a difficult time getting it out. I told her that I still felt it and she told me to wait while she tried again. After adamantly asking for more anesthetic, she obliged but I still felt the last part being pulled (they had to crack the tooth and extract the pieces). Now, initially I had 6 shots and was assured I would feel no pain, but I certainly did. It could very well be that I have more nerves in that area than most people, but the fact that she wouldnt stop to give me more anesthetic troubled me. I also found their admin staff a little incompetent as well as they have erroneously filed our claims and had to be diligent in getting them to file them correctly. Take what you will from this review and I hope you have a more pleasant visit.

Everyone at this practice--from the receptionist to the hygienist to the dentist--is so genuinely nice and they instantly make you feel comfortable. I was about to lose my dental insurance and needed a lot of dental work done in just two weeks and they were wonderful about making room for me in their schedule and getting all the work done before my insurance expired. The receptionist even referred me to a website where I could find good low cost dental insurance. A nice bonus: they have TVs in every room with wireless headphones so you can watch TV or Netflix while having procedures done. It was SO great to have that distraction while getting a root canal! I am definitely going to be a patient at Healthy Smiles as long as I live in Chicago!

Whenever I am seen for my six month check-up I not only receive excellent dental care but also helpful education about what I can do to keep my teeth in good shape. That is the "value-added" at Healthy Smiles. Friendly Staff, Caring and Knowledgeable Hygienist, Experienced and Skillful Dentist all using state of the art equipment, practices and procedures to make it an all around Excellent Customer Experience from the moment you arrive.

Nothing but good experiences here with our son. He gets a bit nervous but both the hygienist and dentist have always been very good with him. Admin. has also been fine as far as billing, scheduling etc. No complaints at all.

Im terrified of dentist, Ive had pretty bad experiences before. Dr:Pratt and her crew made me feel comfortable and calmed throughout the procedures im usually jumpy or flinchy. They are the best definitely going back.
