This is an update.... I contacted the BBB about the issues and they replied that I gave false information... It is so unfortunate that after I thought things were settled over the phone days ago I am being accused of giving false information. And I will definitely file a complaint with the attorney general if in the next 7 days this issue is not resolved. On my last visit I had a free consultation, before that consultation i had to cancel two visits which during the consultation I was told the fees were being waived and the consultation was completely free. shortly after my last consultation I was called and told NONE of the information that Midway Square Dental office is providing now, I was simply told that I was not accepted as a patient anymore because of my insurance. No other extensive explanation. The last time I was at the office before being informed of the insurance issues I asked what my balance was and they assured me it was $0. A few weeks after receiving the phone call from the office I received a notice of payment for $50 stating that was my bill for my consultation which was supposed to be free. I can send a copy of the bill if necessary. The bill also stated that I was 30 days late... how would that be possible I am not sure. A week ago I called the office and spoke to a manager who assured me ALL of my fees were waived and again I OWE them $0. Now I receive this email from the BBB saying that they are accusing me of giving false information. I have a recording of the phone call, I can send a copy of the bill and will definitely contact the Illinois Attorney General regarding this matter if not resolved and I am assured that Midway Square Dental center is going to honor they word regarding my balance as I was assured it was $0. Again if needed I can provide a copy of the bill and a recording of the phone call between me and a manager in their office. The only ones giving false information is them since even over the phone they were trying to convince me the charges were from the cancellations (the bill says it is for the consultation) either way I was told my consultation was free and my cancellation fees were waived. Everything was fine and my balance was $0 until they dropped me as a patient because of the insurance issues and then decided to bill me for their time. I will not pay this bill and will take them to court if this goes to collection. It is about the principle, not the $50. I am a customer service manager, i would never let this happen to a customer of my dealership. Bottom line...as long as you are paying patient there you are ok... but in case you leave either forcefully or on your own you will be billed for something, and I am not the only person, I have read way more than one other person who had the same issue.

I am writing this review because I wanted to spread out the word to those of you who are still looking for an excellent dentist. I started going to Midway Square Dental about a year ago because of a referral from a friend and I am very thankful for that referral. I wanted to give it a try because their location was an easy commute from downtown where I work and I could easily take the orange line and walk to the clinic. Everybody is always very pleasant and on almost all my visits, I was sitting on the dental chair at my appointment time, which is great because at my previous dentist there were times I had to wait half an hour before they would call me in. I believe there are three dentists there but my experiences are specifically related to both Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Bicakci and the hygienist. I had two cleaning sessions and they replaced six old fillings that were more than 15 years old and had started to give me pains. During my visits I did not mind seeing any of the doctors and both doctors were always very pleasant, answered all my questions and spent enough time with me explaining why my pains occurred and suggested treatment options that fit my budget the best. My new fillings feel and look great and I never had any pain afterwards. Now that I am all fixed up, I will probably only need cleaning for many years to come. Also, while I was sitting on the dental chairs I noticed that both doctors have multiple degrees in dentistry and to me more education is always good especially if you run into any complications. I recently started to take my five year-old daughter there, and the female doctor and the hygienist have interacted with her so well that my daughter does not mind going to a dentist now. Overall, I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a decent place where the doctors are well educated and care for the patients.

THIS OFFICE IS GREAT!!! I just had an implant placed yesterday...and today NO PAIN! I saw Dr. Hirant Bicakci for the procedure and was slightly uncomfortable after the anesthesia had worn off (however, the pain medications that I was prescribed managed the discomfort), but today I’m back at work and feeling completely normal. I’m very lucky that I found an office with such educated doctors that care enough about their patients to use the very best technology. I was told many times that I probably wasn’t a good candidate for an implant due to the fact that there was very little bone in the area where I was missing a tooth (as it was extracted over 10 years ago). However, Dr. Bicakci took an advanced conebeam 3D image on me right there in his office (a painless x-ray that only took about 10 seconds!) and using special treatment-planning software he knew exactly the right position for the implant and the size of the implant to use. The office is clean and updated in its decor. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly, the doctors are kind and caring, and the assistants helped to make the procedure so smooth and seamless. I’m beyond impressed with this place. If you’re looking for a great dentist who is skilled, knowledgable, caring and up to date on the latest in technology I would look no further. This place definitely deserves 5 stars!!

I have been going to Midway Square Dental since 1998. The previous owner was nice and so are the new owners. I love how the new owners have refreshed the office with new chairs for patients, wooden floors, newer technology, and lower wait time. The best thing that the new owners have done is lower the price of treatments as I noticed my bills are lower than the previous owners but the quality is still the same. I used to have bad staining on my teeth which resulted in long cleanings and the previous dentists would always ask me if I smoked, drink coffee, etc... which I did not do. The new owners are a couple from Turkey and the husband/dentist asked me if I used mouthwash and I said I used Listerine. He recommended that I stop which I did and then 6 months later, I didnt have any staining on my teeth and have not since. I am thankful that the owners are not promoting any products or services but are looking out for the best interest of the patients. My teeth cleanings are now faster thanks to the advice of the owner and I have not had any issues with my teeth as the hygienists have been professional and thorough in their service. The front desk have always billed me correctly since 1998 and theyve done a great job of reminding me of appointments 2 times before the appointment date and have worked with me in case I needed to reschedule.
