I was treated very poorly by Dr. Melissa Shrout. It seems Dr. Shrout participated in unchristian gossiping that assassinated my character. Then? She allowed me to come in so she could mistreat me & charge me for it. She told me one leg was shorter than the other, didnt perform one adjustment, but wanted my money? I wrote an honest, one-star review on Facebook & was attacked by her "supporters". One left the hashtag #youareanutjob It was then I put some pieces together to explain her flip/flop treatment of me. It was my third visit that she turned on me. The first two visits I saw the Dr. Shrout everyone raves about in their reviews. She was professional, caring, & pleasant. But not that day. I responded & sent an email asking Dr. Shrout if shed like me to make an appointment so she could abuse, slander, & disrespect me more & she flew out of control... Unbelievably, Dr. Shrout called a friend at the Carmel Police Department who then came to MY HOME (in a marked Police Car, but out of uniform) to bully me for writing a review and sending an email. I talked to a lawyer & although morally & ethically wrong, not against the law. Although I believe it was a HIPAA violation giving the police officer my home address from my medical file & am investigating my options. He had a ridiculous stack of papers in his hand & asked me what they were? I was angry & told him I had no idea since I wrote only one review & sent one email. I had no idea what the stack of twenty papers were, but knew full well its not illegal (against the law) to write a bad review or send an email. I told him to leave or I was going to file Harassment Charges against Dr. Shrout. If you are considering a visit to Shrout Family Chiropractic, be warned that things arent always what they appear. Catholics dont always behave like christians and malicious gossiping is a akin to Adult Bullying. But most importantly to ME? she has no idea how very wrong she was/is to believe whatever hateful things she heard about me. I AM what I appear...Intelligent, kind, playful, creative, and warm. Gods word on gossips: Romans 1:29 If you want a chance at living my nightmare or if you want police at your door for writing an honest, but damning review go ahead & take your chances, but beware of the wolf in sheeps clothing.

Oh my goodness, where do I start? Were 3 sessions in for my daughter and are seeing leaping improvements in her daily. I wish, wish, wish, WISH I wouldve known what I know now. I would have brought her to Dr Melissa straight from the hospital! Everything is gentle, Dr Melissa watches her, plays with her and then does adjustments. When she needs a break she plays and Dr Melissa watches her and asks questions and explains everything to me. Ive even started seeing Dr Derek for myself and am working on my husbands schedule to try and get him in! Were 30 minuties away and Shrout family will be our chiropractors for life!

Her treatments have taken me from hunched over and barely able to walk to standing up straight and comfortable walking. Dr. Melissa knows her stuff and is an important part of my personal healthcare team.

Dr. Shrout is a good chiro but the person patients have to deal with is Brandon. He is AWFUL. He is condescending and rude to nearly everyone. I had to find a new chiro just to get away from him. There are other good chiros in Carmel, find a different one so you dont need to deal with her minion,

I have never had a bad experience here. Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. Ive had multiple adjustments and done the float twice. Every single time I have left feeling MUCH better than when I got there.
