I went to an initial consult with Dr. Kielur. I followed up with my insurance company who said Mass Ave Chiropractic was out of network and that the insurance company would only cover a smaller percentage of the cost. So my wife called Mass Ave Chiropractic to cancel my follow-up appointment and to pay for the initial visit. After several attempts by my wife, Dr. Kielur said he wouldn’t cancel the appointment unless I told him myself. I went in to his office to pay my bill and to pick up my x-rays. Dr. Kielur came to the waiting area and said, “Tell me to my face that you have no interest in hearing about my treatment program”. I told him that I was not interested and that I just needed to pay my bill and get my X-rays. He then quoted a price that was twice what was originally stated. The price was not sensible but I didn’t contest. I said I would pay whatever he thought was reasonable and if the insurance company had questions that they could talk with him directly. He said he wouldn’t allow me to threaten him. He then said he didn’t want to deal with me so he wouldn’t charge me but he was not going to give me my X-rays. I assured him that I was not threatening him. I was happy to pay what he quoted. He walked into the back room. As he was leaving I told him that he was legally obligated to provide the X-rays to me. He came back out to the lobby and started to tell me about his program and how he is the only one who can help me. I assured him that I was not interested. He then said he did nothing wrong and he had no obligation to give me my records. But he wanted me “Mentally off his books”, so he was going to let me have the X-rays. I said thank you and he left. I stayed in the waiting area and a few minutes later the receptionist came out with my X-rays, free of charge. Even as I write this it sounds like a crazy biased once sided story. The only reason I feel comfortable telling this unbelievable story is because the receptionist (nice lady) witnessed the event. If you are considering this place, I encourage you to ask the receptionist about the accuracy of my account. At best, he was an overly pushy sales person who tried to pressure my wife and me into buying his program. At worse, he is an unethical medical professional who uses threat pricing and withheld medical records for dishonest gain.

I have suffered with lower back pain for the past 20 years and have been through all kinds of therapy and chiropractic treatments. I have never experienced anything like Dr. Kielurs approach. He is hands on and "over the top" accommodating to his patients treatment plan. He is dedicated and committed to his patients in helping them feel better. His schedule is flexible and will come in early in the morning, after 5PM, and on weekends to get you on the path to feeling better. The atmosphere is also relaxing with "spa like" music and the lighting is a little dim to help you relax. I definitely recommend Dr. Kielur and Mass Ave Chiropractic for anyone who needs chiropractic care. You wont find another doctor who cares so much about helping you and willing to invest in top of the line equipment to make that happen.

Went in with a 5-day headache; after a short treatment plan (about10 adjustments), my headaches have been significantly reduced. Unfortunately, thats where the good ends. I have pretty good health insurance, which will cover chiropractic treatments. I let them know before treatments ever started, and gave them my card and all my information. Through each of the treatments, I kept asking them to submit to insurance, and I was told "we will next time" or "theres too much paperwork to do now." At the end of my treatments, they still hadnt submitted it, and Ive ended up paying $1250 out of pocket. Ridiculous.

If you have back pain and nothing else has worked for you- this is what you need to try!!! If you like alternative treatments that dont involve drugs or surgery, this is for you. This isnt your average doctors office- the atmosphere, billing, hours and methods are all unique, but keep an open mind- it is very flexible for patients to help you follow the program and heal. Different than what you see with traditional physical therapy or chiropractic, but it has worked and made a world of difference for me! Really a great guy who genuinely wants to help people...so glad I came across this place!!

I was involved in a car accident and I had major pain, and I was recommended to go to Dr. Kielur. When you first walk in you get a great feeling. I felt at home with all the pictures on the wall. The receptionist was extremely nice. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. When I was getting my treatment done she ask if I was cold and gave me a cover and put it over me. The service was great. Talking to Dr. Kielur was awesome. He really cares about his patients. I would definitely recommend his office. Been in a car accident, back pain come on down to Mass Ave Chiropractic, its worth it.

Dr. Joe doesnt pay attention to his patients. He wonders around doing other things and even forgets why you started seeing him. I feel he gets his patients mixed up because he NEVER reads the paperwork you fill out. They never turn on the overhead lights so its always dark. To clean the equipment, they lightly spray it with lysol and its not even dry before they have you lay down on it. GROSS!!!!!!!

I had c5/c6 issues that left my thumbs and fingers with pins and needles for quite a while. Had been to manual adjusting chiropractors with not much success, I heard about Dr. Joes decompression machines and decided to give it a whirl. Saved my career. I fight in the UFC and if he wasnt in town I never wouldve been able to continue making money for my family. Thanks doc!

The Doctor is one of a kind in many ways and he is driven to help patients and do everything he can including being flexible with his schedule so patients can see him when they have time! He will take extra time to insure he is doing everything possible to help. Many other Doctors could learn a lot from this old school approach!

After talking to him he learned I wanted to pursue a career along the lines of chiropractic care and he offered me an internship. I love working here and I have have learned so much in the past few months I have been here.

I was in a boating accident several years ago and my back was never the same afterwards. I never used a chiropractor before, but a friend recommended Dr. Kielur, and I’m glad he did. I can actually feel my spine returning to the way it was before the accident and most of the pain has disappeared.

My back was a mess when I shoveled after a heavy snowfall. I visited Mass Ave Chiropractic and they put me on the DRS Protocol which was centered around my particular symptoms. The spinal decompression seemed to help the most. Dr. Kielur explained everything very well.
