I could not have been more unhappy with my experience at Grove & Platt. The initial cleaning was fine, but I had a very small cavity filled between the teeth and nearly a week later, Im still in pain. During the filling, they had to give me two shots of Novocaine, which got them a little off schedule and the entire time, the rushed atmosphere made me even more uncomfortable. The pain that day was intense - it wrapped all around my teeth and throughout the side of my face, making me feel like Id been punched. When I went back to ask about it, not only did I have to wait a half-hour after my scheduled appointment, but I was told to expect the pain to last for up to a week and just take some advil. In the mean time, I cant chew on that side, liquids make it so sensitive, and the ongoing ache is very unpleasant. This is by far the worst experience Ive ever had at the dentist, and that include having wisdom teeth with dry sockets. Their fancy paraffin dips and TVs may be nice, but ongoing pain is not. Nor is their reasoning behind it. I will never go to Grove and Platt again.

Best dentist in the Des Moines area! They work with you if you dont have dental insurance to make sure youre not getting unnecessary services and are very affordable! On top of that their customer service is always phenomenal! Even though they are a bit of a drive, its well worth it!
