Today 2-21-2017, I saw Dr. Desh along with Dentist Asst. Ms. Cheryl. I had fillings put in. Before I even saw the dentist I had concerns and questions about the last two visits. Dentist Asst. Ms. Cheryls knowledge was soo astounding and refreshing. The pertinent info. which Ms. Cheryl, the Dentist Asst. gave me armed me with ammunition to deal with and turn around what seemed to me at the time a hopeless disaster. I was greeted and treated with highly commendable respect and manner that is pretty much not heard of these days. Though Dr. Desh was great, her Asst, Ms. Cheryl put me at ease, she spoke intelligently at the same time real- down to earth. What I needed to get done, what I could afford to get done, more options ($ and cents) where to go for real help as well as what would be expected for me to pay out of pocket! Dr. Desh knows her stuff, very efficient, in and out, no hasstles. I came out of Kool Smiles a great deal better than I went in. Im grateful for Dentist Assistant Ms. Cheryl, God has her in a place where she makes a difference. I also pray her Employer recognizes and God would bless Ms. Cheryl with an Increase that money can not. Thank you Dr. Desh and Dentist Assistant Ms. Cheryl for All you both do

Considering I have been using this dentist office for general dentistry for my daughter, overall the experience has been....oK, but recently (within the last 2-3yrs) my daughter was in an accident that left her with major damage to her mouth. since the beginning of this tragedy Kool smile has been totally inconveniencing and unempathetic to her needs and both of our schedules. Needless to say we no longer live in Baltimore city however we still patronized this dentist because generally,..it was an ok experience. between the call center and the actual doctors office, both harassed me via phone daily trying to set up appointments for work that had been completed 6 months ago. when I inform both of this they blame the other. trying to get an appointment for my daughter to get her denture took almost 2 years and we have visited the office twice a month for at least 6 months just trying to pick the denture up all the while the call enter and office is calling me to schedule cleaning and fillings that had been done over 3 months prior.i promise if it is not general dentistry....I will not go to kool smiles westside EVER!!!!

*** THIS REVIEW PERTAINS TO THE FREDERICK AVENUE LOCATION*** I was terrified going in; Im not gonna lie. First time getting teeth pulled in my life--5 of them no less--and as the minutes ticked off towards my appointment, dread overcame me as I imagined giant needles in my gums and fretted about whether or not the sedative would work. Well, Michelle and Dr. Griffin put me at ease immediately. I dont know whether it was the Eryka Badu playing lightly in the background or the witty banter we all engaged in (me mostly grunting agreement or signalling thumbs up), but an hour later, I was done and looking at a tray full of molars and cuspids that had formerly caused me great agony. The highlight of the procedure was listening to Dr. Griffin and Michelle work in tandem; it was magical how they alternated between shorthand medical jargon, discussions of politics and home repair, and occasional riffs from Eryka Badus music. I LOVED my experience and now am regaining my (wait for it) Kool Smile.

This was the most terrifying experience. I am so glad I went before I took my child. I waited for 45 minutes to be seen to be taken to a ROOM FULL of chairs where multiple people were getting cleanings IN THE SAME ROOM at the same time. This is completely unsanitary and unprofessional. The hygienist was very nice, but then when the dentist came around, she didnt even greet me, went right in, said I have two cavities, slammed her tools around hitting my teeth with NO apology, and wheeled right over to the next person. I have two cavities, have trouble finding dentist who are covered in my insurance and will NEVER return here. Terrible treatment, unsanitary, cannot even believe people bring their children here.

I was sitting in a dental chair waiting for my doctor. I had a perfect view of the station where the xray materials are cleaned and repackaged. The young lady doing the prep work washed the materials quickly and set them in a pile to dry. Then she started to package them. One of the xray rings that hold your mouth open fell on the floor. She quickly picked it up and put it in a package. She did not wipe it off, she did not rinse it off. She just kept going. I looked at the floor. There were dirty rugs in front of the sink area. I wanted to run at that point. I did not say anything because I had someone working on me. But it stuck with me, needless to say. How clean is the place?

I went to Kool Smiles yesterday 3/29. The staff at this location was very friendly. There was one employee that stood out the most. The Dental Assistant Breyonna was so professional. She walked me through everything that was happening. She helped me to remain calm through my procedure and explained everything that was going on. I asked her about a million questions she was very knowledgeable of everything, and it was very clear that she loved what she was doing, she also had a lot of patience with me. If there is a employee if the month award she should definitely receive it. She made me want to go back. And I definitely will be back.

I brought my children here a week ago. Was told that I needed to bring my daughter back, for a fill in. OK no problem. Except I wasnt given the opportunity to make the appointment myself. As I was leaving, I was given a appointment card with todays date (5/4/17)appt time 1:45. OK cool, so I take off work. Only to be told that her appointment is at 10 am. I have four children who I hadnt planned to get ready until 11. Basically I took off for nothing, because no one said anything about 10:00 until today. So when I call, its like a Ahhh OK, type of attitude from the person. Thanks kool smiles for having me miss out on money.

First off, dealing with the city is a nightmare. Traffic had been rerouted and it caused me to be late. According to the clock on my cell, as I was standing at the counter trying to check in, I was barely four minutes late but, they refused to take me. I was told to reschedule because they dont take late patients. Four minutes! And, I had a very valid reason that they should have known about and been able to account for! Other than that, the dentist and nurses were nice and the wait time was acceptable but, nothing exceptional. Truly, there is no reason to go out of the way to get your teeth done at this location.

Waited 4 hours for my children to get their teeth cleaned, all while listening to everyone complain about how much they didnt want to be there because it was a pay week and how they needed to get their hair done. Very unprofessional and unorganized. Why have an appointment when your just going to make me wait anyway? And please dont call my children in the back to start a procedure when you have no seats and the have to stand for 45 minutes. I used to like this place and Im now Im over it... From the harassing phone calls to schedule an appointment to the unprofessionalism of the front desk.
