AVOID AT ALL COST. Needed a refill on my Xanax script (I had 3 refills left until 1/8/16 and never refilled once). I called to request a refill 1/28 but was told he had no appointments until March. I am post op from a spinal decompression and fusion with instrumentation and when the pain gets bad or I cant sleep because I am so focused on the pain I take 1/2 of my 1mg xanax script. Hospital sent me home with 10 day supply and told me follow up with your PCP. Finally got a call 1/29 and doctor simply stated its a narcotic and Id have to come in and see him...IN MARCH!!!! I have a 8 inch incision down my back and cant wait until March. He had no sympathy to my issue nor the fact that I was willing to come in but because he has no appointments I just have to go without meds. Mind you I have had my original 30 day supply for nearly a year, so I clearly dont abuse them and I even explained that I had 3 refills left through 1/8/16 per the bottle and pharmacy and he still wouldnt accommodate. I dont believe any doctor should push urgent issues like this off nor tell make it so difficult to find comfort after a MAJOR back surgery. FINAL NOTE- AVOID MEDSTAR IF POSSIBLE. I work in health care administration and Between this doc and my experience at Franklin Squares ER (Went 911 on 1/10 due to a fall from my back giving out) Medstar has been a night mare. I strongly recommend Mercy, Lifebridge, GBMC, University of MD, etc. AVOID- THIS IS A STRONG WARNING. I thought he was great my first visit but boy was I wrong.

Ive been a patient of Dr Milner since 1984 and even though I moved out of state in 2004, I still make the trip to Baltimore every 6 months to see Dr Milner. He is attentive, accommodating, he gives each patient all the time they need, he explains everything, he is a great doctor and he has a wonderful assistant Sandy who is also very helpful. Ive only been to the new office once but my experience there was positive and the office is state of the art.....one stop shopping! I did have one bad phone experience when an appt needed to be rescheduled due to the doctor being trained on their new system, but the problem was the individual and Im pretty sure shes no longer employed there. Dr Milner did his best to work me back into the schedule when it was most convenient for me.

Great doctor but once he got involved with this new practice his service is terrible. I know people who died wait in for return calls.
