This is the Closest Vet to my new summer home in Mashpee so when my golden doodle developed a hotspot on a Friday I went to this establishment to purchase a head cone to prevent biting and to create a relationship in hopes to make this my summer vet. I have been with Foxboro Animal hospital for over 25 years but having an alternate vet near me for the time I spend in Mashpee makes sense. I was asked by the receptionist all my personal information for their computer and then she asked my dogs weight and she determined the size cone for him and I was also offered the choice of a soft or hard cone - I opted for the soft one - got home and placed it on him and realized about an hour later it was the incorrect size so I brought it back and asked for the next size up or a hard one that may work better - she told me she couldnt do that - she told me to go get my dog so she could have him measured - so I went back home and brought my dog back and she measured him and I walked out with a hard cone this time - Sunday morning I realized he was still able to bite at his hotspot - I was unable to return it Sunday so I was going in on Monday for the return - in the meantime I wrapped my sweatpants around his waist along with the continued use of the wrong sized cone - Monday they are closed so I need to keep the sweatpants around him for another 24 hours. I went back early Tues to inform them that he was able to get at his hotspot and the needed the next size up - to my shock they would not do an even exchange because my dog scratched the cone and they couldnt resell it - WHAT - your receptionist measured him wrong and I need to repay for an item that you told me to purchase - I did pay for the larger cone but not after trying to make them understand that I was told by them to bring my dog in explicitly for proper sizing - I did as asked because that made total sense - no more guessing - so I thought my third visit to them that Friday morning was the charm - far from it!! Paid $22 twice to protect my pup - it will be the last $$ they will get from me - If they are incapable of measuring a dog head cone and then not taking responsibility for it - enough said!! Time to research another vet near me!

I am a crazy pet mom, and they are always available to help whenever I need it. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. My dogs are both on the annual care plan and my cats are seen as needed. I am crazy about the dogs and every little thing they answer most for me right on the phone with no visit needed to save me after hours $$. I remember once after calling about my small 10lb dog after multiple bee stings they told me what to do and watch for and the doctor even called another time that night to check on him. Just amazing the care they provide. One of my cats I just brought in thinking it was his time but instead it turned out He has diabetes and is now on insulin. They were all so helpful and informative I feel like an expert when doing what I have to do at home to hopefully regulate the poor old guys blood sugar. I cant say enough good things about the care my animals receive there and the care in which they provide this crazy pet mom.

Dr. Baer is a terrific, and very experienced Vet...his staff is friendly, and goes the extra mile to make visits as stress free as possible. Dr. B. is sensitive to the costs of Tx, and provides Tx options when surgery &/or other procedures are being considered. Ive been to other Vets in the past, and options were not provided.
