3.5 years ago i had a sever head injury and was admitted to Anajaques. AJH never did a mri or catscan. I did not present concussion symptoms but I began having issues with in a week and called that office. I requested I have an MRI done - I was seen and denied not just once but over a three year period and while experiencing all kinds of issues including memory loss, extreme pain though out my body , not healing, extreme fatigue, extreme loss of strength, extreme anger extreme head pressure and difficulty concentrating - jessica disregarded my requests for basic anti inflammatory meds and muscle relaxers. she blatantly denied my request to see an neurologist - insisting it was a virus handed me a prescrition for prednazone and insisted it wasnt neurological. I kept telling her there was something wrong with me with my head. She minimized my condition and by logging it as a "slip and fall" which it was not. I flew off the back of my dump truck 10ft smashing my head against a boulder. I had 5 -6 staples. Still I was not considered seriously. Finally after loosing fighting for three years I was allowed to see a pain specialist. from there I progressed to many other doctors until I finally ended up at spaulding and MGH for further tests and rehabilitation. My new chiropractor dr kane encouraged me not to stop fighting as he agreed that all my symptoms and difficulty were due to this head injury. All doctors that i have seen could not believe that AJH did not do a mri the day I went in and that jessica refused to acknowledge I had neurological damage due to the trauma. I am still being told of the BASIC health care I was denied and could not begingthe rehab at spaulding until I got those standard tests and therapies done. I lost my ability to work and to function for 2.5 months this summer. I was in extreme pain that crippled me as well as plagued with sever anger- enough to kill a person and not think twice about it. I tried to tell her that and the doctor that filled in for her - I left the office doing everything I could not to kill the idiot that sent me away suggesting I take two alive and see someone else handing me a piece of paper. That was after I just told him I had taken 8 advil and 2 aleive in a 24hr period. I wouldnt never trust her and anyone in that office with any head trauma. get away from them so you dont spend 3 years suffering and believing they knew what they were doing. One of the disease specialist tried calling her to get her to approve a neurologist- after two weeks he still didnt hear back so I recommend he call the pain specialist i saw to see if he would do it. Not until the neurologist contacted her office did she even bother to reach out to me to see if I was ok. I didnt bother to call her back- I finally have a new PC. I told jessica from the beginning - i dont go to the drs unless i need to. when I know something is really wrong and I have waited to see if it passes. IF you see me something is really wrong so I expect you to listen. SHE FAILED FOR THREE YEARS TO LISTEN MAKING ME FEEL I WAS THE JERK THAT WAS EXAGGERATING MY CONDITIONS AND ISSUES. Fortunately it got so bad to me I didnt question it I KNEW.

Shes a great doctor but in my opinion I would warn others about her office. In my opinion Pentucket Medical is the most atrocious medical establishment I have ever come across. If you are hoping to receive doctor care, of the PhD type, you will not find that here.You will 99% of the time deal with nurses or MDs. I didnt meet my primary care doctor for TWO years. Other people have told me similar stories from Pentucket Medical. The nurses and doctors do not return phone calls. If you need to cancel an appointment you better not leave a message because they wont return or make note of your call. The entire Pentucket Medical organization is run so poorly. Their standard procedures are faulty and make little sense. Their allergy department has a hidden rule which patients will not be aware of. If the Pentucket Medical doctors or nurses are late that is acceptable and to be expected. But if you are a few minutes late to an appointment they can deny you service. I received much better care in college. I hope my review has made you think twice about setting up an appointment with Pentucket Medical. And if you are already a patient Im sure you are shaking your head in agreement. Please post your review to illustrate my point. Thanks!

In my opinion Dr. Schoonmaker is not a good doctor. I have had Lyme disease for over 20 years and she told me that there was nothing she could do to help me. I saw her twice and then cancelled my appointment for a physical. I felt so depressed after seeing her. I have now changed over to Dr. Navarra at Seacoast Medical and saw him once and he has already ordered blood work, x-rays for my knees and given me a prescription for nerve pain and headaches.
