I was very impressed with the Doctor and his staff, their website is also very helpful. Dr.Derek is a very good listener and no one in the office tried to "sell" me anything. I liked that, because I too like many other reviewers came to the office using a groupon deal. I found the consultation to be very informative! A point was made that really stuck with me and made very good sense! We are taught dental health (for instance) from the time we are young but no one has taught anything about spinal and musculature health and why/how we need or can take care of it. Most of us come in when there is something already wrong, when we have pain. We expect a quick fix and then we think we are better. To me it makes more sense in being taught when we are young ( like the dental health-brush/floss your teeth or, an apple a day) etc. If we can take care of our spinal/nervous system health from the time we are young (wellness visits) then hopefully unless their is major event like a car accident or sports injury, most of us will need just wellness visits! I am going back for my second adjustment soon and then hope to be able to make arrangements for intensive continuing care for at least a month. After that I would hope to look forward to wellness care. Again, thank you Dr.Derek and staff!! Keep up the good work!

HORRIBLE experience! I am not one to usually write a review but I felt compelled in this case to do so. I purchased a massage at Elwart Family Chiro, and was greatly looking forward to it. When I arrived, the massage therapist made me feel ignorant for asking simple questions and was extremely rude when I did not follow her exact instructions on which direction to lay onto the massage table. I have only had a few massages in my life, and I have never had a poor experience such as this one. I ended up leaving before she even started. This was supposed to be a relaxing experience; however, I ended up leaving stressed, embarrassed, made to feel like an idiot. I expressed my discontent to the receptionist on the way out, but was not give an apology or empathy whatsoever and did not feel like they valued their customers. I did ask the Doctor to contact me and he did apologize; however, I would NOT recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing massage. You will leave feeling worse than when you came in!

This place might be good, but I wouldnt know and wont be finding out! After numerous attempts to call & schedule my Groupn, when I successfully connnected with someone willing to take my call at the time (instead of promising to call be back to schedule and never actually doing so), I was advised new (read, Groupon) customers were only seen during special, inconvenient times for consult as well as for the massage. They are only accommodating new customers consults during one time one slot outside of the 8-5 standard business hours on Monday night and another time-slot on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, my husband has a standing work meeting on Monday nights, leaving me to watch our son, and I have a standing one on Tuesday night. Additionally, a portion of this Groupon was a massage and they are also not allowing new (again, read, Groupon) customers to schedule the weekend (Friday night or Saturday), making it near impossible for working families to take advantage of the Groupon.

I look forward to seeing Dr. Derek every week. I am a personal trainer and it is important that I keep my injuries to a minimum. I have been seeing him for over a year and each time I am treated like a celebrity. Stephanie at the desk is incredibly kind and always welcoming with a warm smile. Dr. Derek is very knowledgeable and is never stumped by my ever-changing physical dilemmas. Linda works on my body and helps relieve tight muscles and spends extra time on my trouble spots. Elwart Family Chiropractic is truly a FAMILY chiropractor. Often you will see his wife and daughter popping in and helping out. Their family atmosphere is unquestionable. Since coming to Elwart Family Chiropractic, I am no longer a daily migraine sufferer, I have much better range of motion and my back is far less prone to shooting pains. I will continue to be a loyal and satisfied client, referring all of my clients, family and friends.

I cannot say for sure how great Dr. Elwart is because I was never able to see him. I was delayed for my first appointment by 8 minutes and I called the office to let them know and the secretary said that if Im more than 5 minutes late my appointment would be canceled and I cannot reschedule it....ever. I had bought a Groupon to use and she told me to call Groupon and get a refund. She was very rude and abrasive towards me. This was after it took nearly a month to even obtain a first appointment. Obviously I tried my best to make it on time, but a normal 20 minute drive turned into a 40 minute drive do to an accident and I just couldnt make it on time. They very least they could do was allow me to reschedule my appointment and pay a late fee but that wasnt an option. So, to summarize, I would be hesitant to go here as they do not value their customers and have extremely poor customer service.

Dr. Elwart and his team are the BEST! I have searched around and been to a number of chiropractors in the past, none seem to have worked. Dr. Derek takes a unique and holistic approach, which makes you feel incredibly comfortable and trusting right away. His team was very polite and professional each time ive gone there. I have been continuing to get adjusted and seen so much progress over the past few months, the pain has subsided and I wake up feeling more relaxed. I have since brought my family and a couple of friends to Elwart Family Chiropractic and they all are improving in their own situations. I would recommend this to anyone I know who is having pain, or discomfort in any of their joints or unexplained headaches.

After years in the Army I developed a lot of back pain. I have been to MDs who just injected my back and did nothing to actually improve my condition. Those worked until the shot wore off and it wasnt until I started with Chiropractic that my situation improved drastically. As a gym owner I am very conscious of who I let treat me and who I recommend to my members. After a lot of research I decided to see Dr. Elwart and I couldnt be happier. Not only has my pain gone away 100%, but I am more mobile as well. His entire staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. If you are sick of living in pain then I cant recommend Dr. Elwart enough. I refer all my members to him and every single one of them love their results.

Having been to several different Chiropractors over the years I have found Dr. Derek to be one of the few that have been informative and helpful. After a horrible experience from my last Chiropractor it was a joy to have Dr. Derek make me feel better. I could barely walk the first time I went there and after just a few visits of the roller bed, stretching and adjustments I can say with confidence that I felt better than I had in years. His staff is friendly and helpful and I would recommend Elwart Chiropractic to all my friends and family. Thank you Dr. Derek for all that you have done to help me live my life again.
