My husband had a horrific last two months just because he received a filling - a cosmetic filling, no less from Dr. Taple. He left the dentist and two hours later was in severe pain. They told him to take advil. He had to go back two weeks later because the pain was so great in his face that he almost passed out once. Dr. Taple took another round of X-rays, asked if he had allergies and said his sinuses were probably flaring up. Again, told him to take some advil. Two months later, my husband has been to urgent care, received an MRI and went a neurologist because the neuralgia pain in his face was so terrible. He was forced to cancel plans, miss work and countless hours of sleep. We finally went to another dentist in Eagan when he woke up one morning with a bulge in his gums above the tooth he had the filling in. The new dentist told him he needed an immediate root canal and could not believe the original dentist did not find this. My husband was so happy with the difference in the dental care when he received his root canal. The dentist was gentle and slow instead of the original dentist who was quick and continually jabbed the needle into his gums. Run, do not WALK away from this place. We have found a new dental office that actual cares to listen to peoples pain and knows what theyre talking about.

WORST DENTIST VISIT EVER! In their defense, the hygienist I had was the best so far--gentle with the dental floss, as I have tight teeth. Yes, the view is nice, but a backyard view of Yellowstone National Park wouldnt have made up for the pain they put me through for one simple filling! Dr. Taple ignored my request to reposition the Novocaine needle (I have a nerve right where every dentist sticks it, so it hurts when they inject it). He just said "no," there was no other place to put it and shoved it in. My last dentist (I moved) noticed my pain and told me about the nerve placement. She put the needle in again, and I didnt even feel it. He then proceeded to drill. I could feel the pain every time he pushed down. He finally noticed me wincing and asked if I could feel it. I said yes. He grabbed what looked like a miniature caulk gun, shoved it between my teeth, and cranked more numbing agent in. It hurt so much! I could barely eat or drink anything for 3 days because my tooth was so sensitive. My jaw was swollen for a week. When I went in and told Dr. Taple this, he shrugged his shoulders and blew me off. I have had more fillings than I can count. This was hands-down the worst, most painful experience I have ever had in a dental chair. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!!!!

Went for dental work and gave them my insurance info and kept visiting them then on the fourth visit said oh sorry your insurance is not working in our clinic bescuase they were lazy to bill my service from the first time and did not even give me heads up or warning That cost me more than thousand dollars Think before going there If im a patient that is not aware of my plan then you are a provider who does not know what paln you cover bcs you could have told me that from the first visit not waiting untill the third visit as i knew lately the card was clear enough for as provider to understand that it wont be covered Also you never contact me or my insurance to verify any unclear info never phoned me to notify me as you mentioned in your response If i did not call you for 3rd time TO CONFIRMF ABOUT ANY BALANCE. For more details go to better business bureau minnesota I went to another clinic and they are aware of the difference between delta premier and delta ppo from the first look at the card I hope i had more experienced person at this clinic I already paid for what i could been covered for because the lack of experience

I cannot recommend this dental center more. The staff is entirely friendly and informative and just a pleasure to do business with. I no longer have any anxiety for my dental appointments (and I used to)! Lisa and Robyn at the front desk are fantastic. Hannah has been my hygienist for the past few visits, and she is THE BEST. And Dr. Thomas has been my dentist for every visit. He is professional, personable (albeit concise), and very knowledgeable. Its a dentistry dream-team! I never doubt that I am in good hands at Northwood Dental! As a side note, their facilities are very very very nice! The rooms where their exam chairs are actually overlook a pond surrounded by dense trees (in the middle of Eagan--its true!!), and there is usually all sorts of wildlife flying/swimming around. Its a very calming atmosphere that provides a really pleasant experience on the patient side of things. (Particularly if you have anxiety about visiting the dentist--every little bit helps!)

Always friendly, informative and professional. A staff person greeted me as I walked in the door & checked me in immediately. I waited just a few minutes in a nice area with lots of chairs, magazines, a TV and big windows letting in lots of sunshine. My dental hygienist escorted me to the dental chair and pointed out a hook on the wall for my coat & purse. I got to gaze out the window to a pond while my hygenist got right to work and gave me tips on taking care of my teeth. My dentist carefully reviewed all my teeth and said I didnt need any work. But when I have need work, he has been careful to tell me what I needed, why, when and ensured that I was comfortable at all times. My hygienist worked with me to schedule my next appointment & escorted me out to the reception area. The staff will send the paperwork to the insurance company and I was out the door with greeting to have a great day. Great people in a well appointed building - all put you at ease.

I am new to the Northwood Dental practice and couldnt be more pleased with the customer service and professional dentistry that Ive received. My Girlfriend is a long time patient and has been pushing me to book a visit. A cracked molar pushed me past my procrastination, and it turned out to be very fortunate event. When I called for an appointment, Theresa was very courteous and understanding of my situation and was able to get me an appointment in short order. Dr. Taple fixed me up to get by and then subsequently did an amazing job getting my new crown installed during the next hour-long appointment. I was VERY impressed with the professional service that I received. Northwood Dental is the most professional and courteous practice that Ive visited and it appears to me that they are continuously pushing the technology envelope. That really resonates with me. Im very happy to now be engaged with this dental practice. Thank You Northwood Dental!!!

I cannot express the gratitude I have for Northwood Dental. I’m in the military, and recently my status changed and even though I was told it insurance would not be effected, it was. Long story short… My claim was denied and caused a lot of paperwork, but Northwood Dental did not treat me with any disrespect nor did they badger me to have the military work at a faster pace. They patiently waited until I had everything sorted out on my end, and resubmitted the claims. This goes to show the professionalism of the office Staff. The hygienists are super wonderful as well. They’re always smiling and delightful to be around. I would rate them 10 out of 5 stars any day!
