Ive been shopping for a regular massage venue for a couple of weeks now, so needless to say, Ive had more than a few massages. Moe Bodyworks was my least pleasant experience beginning with the indifferent and pretty snarky receptionist (working Monday at 6:00 3/16/15). I was running about five minutes late because it was my first visit and I made a wrong turn. The receptionist called me to find out what was happening. I was explaining to her that I had just pulled up across the street and ......click, the phone went dead! She had hung up, no goodbye, or "Ill see you in a minute," but just "click". Then when I entered the office, I encountered a very cold, unwelcoming countenance that asked me to fill out my information. The attitude was really rude and definitely not anything Ive ever seen in a massage venue, thankfully. It was like some of the medical assistants/check in people who work in corporate health care and dont really have a huge investment in their jobs. The massage was okay, barely worth the $39.00 introductory offer....I would have been pissed if I would have paid more. Again, a somewhat cold person, though not as snarky as the receptionist. Her first question to me was, "So, whats the problem?" I said I just came for a massage and that I had an SI joint injury that was acting up. She asked if she should just focus on my back then, which definitely seemed to be her preference. I told her no, that I wanted a full body massage. The massage itself was so-so and she did not massage my hands, feet or head. How is this a full body massage?? Then it ended somewhat abruptly but not early. I met the massage therapist in the hall afterwards and she did not ask me anything about my experience but proceeded to market their services. She told me I should check out the Massage Club Membership (hokey) and chiro. services, neither of which I was even remotely interested in. Then upon exiting, I literally stumbled over an unexpected step from the hallway from the front office, probably because I was groggy from the massage. The "friendly" receptionist saw this and just looked at me with cold contempt for some reason, then coldly stated, "how would you like to pay for this, you can put a gratuity on your card," No eye contact and no inquiry such as "how was it"? Definitely, no smile. What an ishy experience!!! I had thought earlier of taking my labrador retriever for accupressure, but I would never patronize such an unfriendly place again. A complete lack of professionalism! I really dont see how they can afford to have such unwelcoming front desk people, especially when there is so much competition in the area. My favorite massage so far was a Thai massage offered at a local yoga studio. No front desk person and a very healthy connective ambience and nurturing massage and massage therapist, which is how it should be. There are many good massage venues in Mpls.., but Moe Bodyworks is not one of them. Definitely not worth more than $39.00, at least with the therapist I had and with the rude front desk experience. Yuck!

I have been going to Dr. Moe for a little under 2 years, and there is a reason why I keep going back. I was recommended to her by fellow dancers and movers, they all told me she was the best. I had seen other chiropractors in the past, but I never received any lasting cure for my upper back and neck issues. Dr. Moe, however, strives to make her patients stay pain free and happy, rather than finding how to get them back into her office time after time. The first time I saw her was for a chronic injury in my neck. After only a handful of sessions with Dr. Moe, the injury began to heal and occurred less and less until now it is a thing of the past. However, if I ever feel it sneaking back, I return to Moe in an instant. She has enabled me to move more freely without pain, which is a true gift! She also has educated me on why the pain happened and what other methods I can take to heal. I have had the pleasure of utilizing other services at Moe Bodyworks, such as acupuncture and massage. I have been satisfied with the personalized attention and breadth of knowledge all of her staff gives. Dr. Chris is also an extremely talented and well informed chiropractor at Moe Bodyworks. Whenever someone is in need of care for their body, I always send them Moes way.

I began working with Dr. Moe @ the recommendation of my shiatsu massage therapist. I have recurring low back pain & injury. Dr. Moe & her team always do what it takes to alleviate my pain & get everything in working order again. I appreciate that she doesnt insist upon constant/recurring appointments (as was my experience w/a previous chiropractic provider), but instead gently reminds me & encourages "maintenance" as I see fit. Ive worked w/other chiropractors on Moes team & have felt that each one comes w/such extensive knowledge that Ive always trusted their opinions & recommendations. Ive found each provider to be super personable & easy to talk to & laugh with. Dr. Moe supported me through my pregnancy & I attribute some of the ease of my labor to chiropractic care in the final weeks. If youre looking for a stiff/formal clinical setting, this isnt the place for you. Its quite informal & just a little goofy sometimes (but in a good way)!

I found Moe Bodyworks on Yelp after being rear ended and encountering whiplash. Moe thoroughly documented the accident and went through my symptoms and offered a course of treatment which included adjustment, massage and acupuncture. I had never been to a chiropractor or acupuncturist before so I am unable to compare my experience to others. I will say the acupuncture I received was great and relaxing. And the massage therapist was AMAZING. I will agree with another reviewer and not provide a full 5 stars. Their billing system is a mess. And trying to coordinate insurance payments with their billing was a headache. Not something I wanted to deal with after receiving treatment to get rid of a headache. It finally got resolved and months later received notification that their billing system was a mess. It wouldve been nice to get a heads up before months and months of bills piled up.

Just over a year ago, after throwing my sacroiliac joint out of wack during a martial arts class, I was in so much pain that I could barely move. So, I went online to search for a chiropractor close by and found Moe Bodyworks. I was immediately drawn to Moes professionalism, holistic approach, and sense of humor. Ive been going back ever since. Dr. Moe is very knowledgeable about the human body and took very good care of me. Within a week, I was able to walk and get in and out of my car with very little pain; after three weeks, I was better. One of the many services offered by Moe Bodyworks that Ive taken advantage of is massage. All of the massage therapists are exceptional and will work with patients to meet their particular needs. I get a massage once a month through a special offer which you can find out about when you visit. I highly and enthusiastically recommend Moe Bodyworks!
