I had a broken crown and was very happy that Dr. Stewards staff was able to get me a same day appointment. Upon my arrival the staff at her office are very friendly and accommodating....however, Dr. Anne Steward has very poor chair side manners as the dentist. she became clearly angered when I questioned her treatment plan recommendation; she suggested that I get a bridge and my primary dentist had told me if the problem occurred again I would need a root canal... I believe as a patient I have a right to understand the differences in recommendations, especially when what she was recommending would cost me more money, which I will admit when I saw the out of pocket cost I wasnt happy or prepared to pay out of pocket. After speaking with her assistant about my payment options, I decided I needed to think about it and perhaps explore other options but before I made a final decision I wanted to ask the Dr. a question and when I attempted to ask the question she looked at me and shook her head and waived to her assistant gesturing that she couldnt (wouldnt) help me. The worst part is I was warned about her...however, as a professional AA woman I wanted to support another which turned out to be a huge mistake on my part. However, I will offer her a piece of advice "You need to check your attitude sister!"

I went to this dentist because she was close to my home. Horrible place, the front desk ladies are liars. My daughter needed a root canal and the office told me they accept my insurance and the service will include the crown. After they began the procedure the office now tells me they did not accept my insurance and I had to pay out of pocket! To make things worse they suggested that I call my insurance carrier and complain to them?? Annes office was the one to lie and tell me they took my insurance! Because they had already started the root canal, I had to pay for it and to no surprise the y did not include the crown after the root canal. This is a terrible way of doing business, and the office and Dr.should be fined and closed for robbing patients. This is an African American doctor robbing African American patients., I was very disappointed and will never return there.

I got here phone number out of my humana dental insurances website. I called and told them that and they said they take there insurance so I made an appointment. The took a xray of my tooth and came back about 15 minutes later and told me they dont take my insurance after all. They told me to call back tomorrow when the office manager was there to straighten things out. When I spoke to the officer manager she apologized and told me not to worry about the xray becuase it was there mistake. Before I spoke to her that day I talked to my insurance and they stated that she was currently a provider under there plan. This was all months ago. Today I got a bill for the cost of the xray after they told me not to worry about it. These people are the worst of the worst.

9/8/16 UPDATE: I spoke with Dr. Steward today at length about my frustrations. It was a good conversation; I feel like my concerns were addressed and going forward we have a plan in place to make sure that I have a clear understanding of all charges up front. I have decided to stay with the office. This has been our family dentist for years. After our talk I am confident things will be okay.

I needed an emergency appointment and not only were they able to offer me a same day appointment, but they were prompt, friendly and professional. I was in a lot of pain and the front office ladies came and held my hand and checked on me periodically. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I have found my new dentist!
