10/28/2015 4pm Appointment Dental Care of Hammonton Dr. Gandi (Dentist) It was me, Kenz and Gabe. We sat for about five minutes in the waiting room. Then they called Kenz back, I went to get up and the woman taking her back had said “she is only going to get x-rays, she will be right back out and then you can come back with her’. I had said “ok, I want to come back with her when they go to take the teeth out”, and then followed with “Ok, I will be waiting” and sat down. Upon entering the office, I had noticed a certain woman sitting at the desk; she was also there when they took Kenz back for x-rays. After a short time, a lady named Charity came out into the waiting area and gave me two sheets of paper to sign. One was a bill aka ‘treatment plan”. I did not sign the treatment plan right away and had mentioned that she has a secondary insurance. Time passed and I began to wonder what was taking so long? All of a sudden, the door opened and the nurse was telling me to come back. She walked me into the back room and there stood the same lady that was sitting at the desk the entire time we were in the front area up until Kenzie walked back with the lady who came out for her. As I entered the room, I realized the lady who was originally sitting at the desk up front, was in fact, the dentist. She stood there, her head bobbled, a huge smile gleamed on her face as she said “We are done!”, with excitement. I could not believe what she said. They were done? My child, my 13 yr old daughter just had two teeth ripped out of her mouth. Despite my known request, the acting dentist did not have me come back to talk about what she was going to do during this appointment, which teeth were the ones to come out, anastasia or Nitrous. Nothing. I was left out in the waiting area, while the dentist extracted two Bi Cuspious teeth, which is oral surgery, unknowingly and without regard for my concerns. When I came into the room and saw my poor daughter sitting there with blood dripping from her mouth, face bright red, eyes watery and red also, I could not help but to ask if it were “ common practice to extract teeth from a child while the parent sit unknowingly in the waiting area?” Dr. Gandi went on to say that she did not know that I wanted to be in the room. I said “I told the girl who took my daughter back for x-rays that I wanted to come back”, and she told me that “she would be right back out then I can come back after the x-rays were taken”. The girl whom was also in the room at that time had said “that was me”, the dentist asked if I signed a treatment plan, I said” Yes, and?, I should still have been told to come back and speak to the dentist about the procedure”. In the room, while my daughter sat in shock as it is not every day two huge teeth are extracted from her face without nitrous. DR. Gandi, went on to say that if I wanted to, I can always take her records to another dentist. She repeated this same thing several times, while in the back room. At a complete loss for words, I stood there and stared in her eyes. I could not believe the treatment I / we were receiving. I got Gabe and Kenz together and started to walk out. I looked at the dentist in shock myself and turned to walk out of the back of office into waiting area, just before I reached the door , from behind me Dr. Gandi said again, “If you want to pick up your records, you can go to another dentist”. There was no respect toward me, a parent of their patient. None. No apology, Nothing. I feel this practitioner has violated a code of ethics and is very bias. As a parent, regardless whom takes our daughter to any and all healthcare professionals, I feel each one of us should be treated fairly and with care. Although I am not a patient of this office, my daughter, my x husband and his mother, father, brothers all go to this dentist on a regular basis. Hope Eccleston

Horrible experience. I am currently looking for another dentist because I walked out of the office with a crooked tooth that anyone in their right might could see was uneven. Yet I was told that it would have to do since it would probably just chip again anyway. My mother also had a horrible experience here and I should have listened to her. Word of advice, go to a dentist that actually takes the time to make you feel better and make you look your best without settling for a crappy job. You may do quick cheap fixes on yourself but that is not what I go to your office for.

Dr. Gandhi is the best. I even started taking my son to her. He usually uses a pediatric dentist but he was very comfortable with her. Great staff. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.
