My insurance changed how they would cover my sons asthma med and it was supposed to require authorization. The office said they had to put him on a different medication because insurance makes them jump through hoops to get a med approved and they ultimately decline it anyway. I tried to new med and he wound up getting pneumonia twice. I went to a dr in Philly for a 2nd opinion who shook his head and said, "I write the script, it gets declined and then I have to say its medically necessary and they approve it." Needless to say I stuck with the Philly dr that would fight for what was best for my kid and not just acquiesce to the insurance company. The Philly dr also had the lung function test done differently with a nose clip to ensure all air was expelled through the mouth for an accurate reading. This office just felt like a factory.

If I could give a "0" for a rating I would. Parents bringing their children to a doctors office should not have to deal with a rude and nasty receptionist. Receptionists set the tone of the waiting room and she is not pleasant at all. I like the physicians, but their receptionist is the worst.
