Being a hard-charging "sport of fitness" athlete, I need more than lacrosse balls and foam rollers to manage my soft tissue dysfunction. If you are looking for long-term pain resolution, increased mobility, increased performance, and educational insights along your treatment path, I would look no further than Barefoot Rehab. An added bonus to the outstanding results delivered by Barefoot Rehab, is their level of integrity. You will never have to fear you are wasting money or time here because the level of transparency about treatment, results, and referring out is outstanding. Luckily for me, every nagging pain or injury I have ever had has been successfully addressed. That said, they are consistently very clear that they EXPECT results after three visits. If not, they are prepared to help you find out exactly what else might be going on. Barefoot Rehab does not have to showcase their values on the wall or in the office. They act them. -Communication -Competency -Results After years of pain and injury, I pretty much decided to give up the sport I love. If I had waited a second longer, I may very well have. You dont need to wait as long as I did, though...give them a shot to show you what they can do. Its "magical". -Thomas

The treatment Ive received from dr. Chris and dr. Curtis has helped me more than any treatment Ive ever had. Ive been struggling with a disc issue in my lower back for years. The focused treatment combined with rehabilitation exercises theyve prescribed has yielded remarkable results. Theyre approach to treatment is unlike any other in New Jersey. The treatment Ive received has been by far more effective than any thing Ive tried. In addition to theyre uniquely effective treatment they have helped diagnose the cause of the pain. With the knowledge of what is causing the pain I can now avoid any movements that put me at risk of aggravating my back pain. They have also shown me specific exercises to help strengthen my back and the surrounding muscles. I can now safely workout and do CrossFit again. I cannot say enough about the level of treatment and results I have experienced here. The staff is warm and friendly and the environment is extremely peaceful and positive. Every visit is always a pleasant experience. If you are suffering from any kind of physical pain or limits in your rang of motion, this is the place to go. I love you guys. Thankful patient, Joe Angelo CrossFitt 223 owner/coach

I will never forget the workout in December when my shoulder pain began: thrusters and banded pull-ups. I was in so much pain that I actually cried. I tried for weeks to push through it, then I took some time off of using my shoulders. With no avail I knew I needed to do something else if I ever wanted to lift without shoulder pain again. I finally took the advice of one of my coaches and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Chris. He is absolutely amazing! He worked with me once a week (because that is all my schedule allowed) on mobility and removing the scar tissue from my shoulder. I was feeling better and better every week. We worked on my weakness, thrusters, and I am so happy to say that as of today I have been discharged with no shoulder pain from any movement! Dr. Chris is so fantastic, hes not judge-mental and is very understanding. He talks to you in such a way that helps you to understand how the things in your life can affect your body in every aspect. I would highly recommend visiting him if you are having any type of mobility problems!

Barefoot rehab has been life changing for me. I will back up and explain, I was born without a right hand, but nothing has stopped me. I have been playing rugby for 8 years and crossfit for about 5. But over the years, especially with rugby my left shoulder was hurting more and more and it was affecting what I was able to do during workouts and my ability to play the sport I love so much. Chris quickly got to work and figured out it was not really a shoulder issue but a spinal issue because of the intense contact playing rugby. Within 1 session I could see a dramatic difference in the way I was able to move my neck and my shoulder pain was barely there. After completing the 6 sessions Chris assigned me I had full range of motion and no pain. I could tell my form in Crossfit was better and my neck felt better after rugby games. Both Dr Chris and Dr. Curtis have my full trust, they are amazing kind, people as well as the rest of the staff. If you really want a great group of chiropractors you should absolutely go here!

I started seeing Dr.Chris mid February upon the suggestion of one of my Crossfit coaches. I was experiencing shoulder pain and somewhat limited range of motion during workouts and regular daily activities. At one point it was so sensitive that I couldnt even reach my arm forward in the car to change the radio station. After my very first session I saw and felt improvement and knew I would be back. Dr. Chris worked on breaking down scar tissue and mobility all the while explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it. He communicated everything so it made sense and I could continue using his advice and some techniques in my daily routine. He explained why I didnt have to stop using it and to know my limitations and how "full my bucket" was. (Youll get it when you go see him) It has been several weeks since my last and final visit and I am still pain free. I can now do snatches and over head squats without feeling as if my shoulder is going to pop out. Thank you Dr. Chris!!

Dr. Chris is the best! I began seeing Dr. Chris in February 2015 for wrist and back pain. When exercising, any position that required me to flex my wrist (i.e. pushups, handstands, anything with a barbell) resulted in immediate pain. I found myself relying on wrist wraps even to do simple movements. On the other end of the spectrum my back was very weak and limited my mobility. After meeting with Dr. Chris, we decided to focus on my wrist pain first. He utilized the ART technique to break up built up scar tissue in my lower arm, wrist, and hand to help alleviate the stress on my wrist. Within one treatment I had noticeably more mobility in my wrist with less pain. I still have a ways to go in treatment but I look forward to a day where both my wrist and Back are pain free and I believe Dr. Chris can help me reach this goal. Dr. Chris is professional, courteous, and most importantly a great doctor, I would recommend him to anyone looking to alleviate pain or gain mobility!

Six months before my visit to Barefoot Rehab, I suffered a bulging disk in my back. Over time, the original pain from the injury subsided, but from the months of muscle spasm I was left with a seemingly permanent painful lower back -and worse- constant numbness and tingling in my lower extremities. Prior to my visit to Barefoot I tried basically everything; physical therapy, shots, massage, and traditional chiropractors. Some of them provided temporary relief, but I generally felt frustrated with my progress. Luckily, I discovered Barefoot. As a Division I college athlete, I needed relief quickly before my upcoming season. Dr. Chris’ expertise using active release technique not only eliminated my lower back pain and increased my mobility, but also allowed me to train without tingling for the first time in what seemed like forever. I cannot thank Dr. Chris and the entire Barefoot staff enough, and I would strongly encourage anyone with pain to try them out.
