Lets break this down- the doctor is great - compassionate, knowledgeable, calm, professional and efficient. (Same goes for Dr. Nutakki who also practices out of the same office). The office staff- *shivers* are at the best of times okay to work with. The scheduling is insane as is the wait time (average over 30 minutes). You have to be pro-active to get results on lab work and paperwork so that your work gets done. The North Brunswick location has gotten tonnes better as far as their tone and interaction with patients. The Plainsboro office staff is a bit of joke- rude and unprofessional- makes me feel I walked in uninvited to a private party! So why would you go to see this doctor? Shes hands down the most experienced practitioner in town (and by that I mean NY/NJ). She knows when a condition requires extreme care and when its normal. You have to make sure you communicate- speak up and tell her what youre feeling and thinking and shell have the right answer. She encourages you to consult a specialist if you feel like but in most instances the specialist has little to add to what Dr. Acharya has already advised you on. Basically her knowledge and bed side manner outweighs the scheduler, the long wait, the rude staff and the inefficient follow-up process

I wish I could give a zero star here . Office staff is the most sluggish of all. This is my second pregnancy so I know how other doctors treat their patients . The first visit Dr Nutthaki forgets to give me prenatanal , when I come back home and call the doctor office the staff says " oh the doc might have forgotten please. One again and take the prenatal or take over the counter " . I was having pain and the doctor even without checking asked to give sample for UTI . Are they gods that they know everything will be fine with me and my baby ????? Since the pain didnt go down 2nd day I went again and had a check up . I asked to hear the heartbeat the doctor says for every pain we cant make you hear the heart beat " you will be fine " . Now I am changing the doctor and for my own reports to get transferred I had to pay 15 dollars . And that also they didnt transfer the papers smoothly . Me and my husband had to call them . The office staff is so arrogant as if they dont care . Bloody money suckers . I saw all the reviews and went to this doctor and now I feel all the reviews are fake . If you have any problem they wont take care of you.

My wife is in her 7th month of pregnancy. When we sign up with Rashmi Acharya, I did my research and I knew that she is a busy doctor. We sign up with her because we were promised every other appointment with Rashmi. For last 3 times, Rashmi has not shown up for the appointment. The other doctor is checking my wife. Since my wife is in 7th month, she suppose to get appointment every 2 weeks. This time we declined to work with other doctor and asked for appointment with Rashmi. As per her staff, Rashmi was only available after 20 days. On the other hand, my wife should be having biweekly appointment. Last thing one wants is change Ob/GYN when wife is in 7th month. I regret my decision which I made 7 months ago. Rashmi may be good but what is the point is she is not available for the appointment.

THEY WILL MAKE YOUR PREGNANACY EXPERIENCE HORRIBLE 7 RESTLESS STAFF IS VERY UNPROSSIONAL AND UNORGANIZED THEY DO NOT READ YOUR RECORDS BEFORE THEY DRAW BLOOD TO KNOW HOW MANY MONTHS PREGNANT YOU ARE. THEY SIMPLY DREW BLOOD FROM ME AND LATER REALIZED HO FAR ALONG I WAS AND I WAS TOLD I DONT NEED TO HAVE THESE TEST AT THIS POINT. WAIT TIME BEFORE I SAW THE DOC WAS ALMOST 2 HOURS THEY TREAT YOU LIKE YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS. REFUSED TO PROVIDE MEDICAL RECORDS FOR A COPY. HAD TO THREATEN TO CALL THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO OBTAIN IT. IF I AM PAYING FOR IT AND IF IT IS MY PERSONAL INFO, HOW CAN YOU REFUSE TO GIVE IT TO ME?? WHEN YOU MISS AN APPOINTMENT, THEY DONT EVEN CARE IF YOU SHOW UP OR NOT OR DO A FOLLOW UP CALL.

Dr Rashmi and Dr Nutakki are super professional. I have been to some other obgy, where the wait time is long as hell and Dr cant give enf time as there are over booked. But with Dr Rashmi abd Dr Nutakki professionalism is top notch. she give enf time and gives special understanding during this time. I am so glad I found her. Even the staff is amazing and very considerate. Dr Nutakki was super awesome with my delivery. Both doctors keep you motivated thru out the pregnancy. Absolutely love both the doctors n their staff.

Dr Rashmi Acharya is the best OB-GYN doctor we have ever met. I am a physician myself and she was very caring during my wifes pregnancy in 2009. We had a high risk pregnancy and she as well as her office staff took extra care of us and we have a great outcome with a healthy child, now 3yrs old. She accomodated our every request and was available whenever we needed her despite being a solo practitioner. I would recommend her to anyone in my family.

I never even got to meet the doctors, the office staff were surly, rude and unprofessional. My Doctor recommended this gynec but as I walked in to book an appointment none of the three office staff seemed to want to deal with me. They were more interested in closing the glass panel. I left thinking if this is the office staff I would have deal with- then no thanks!

I think Dr Acharya is the best. I have never come across such a Dr in any field of medicine who listens and answers to questions.Her analysis and medications have gone through very well for my wife and we are really happy to have such an OBGYN. My wife had a successful 1st delivery in 2011 and is due for 2nd with her.

Dr. Acharya is amazing ! Throughout my wifes pregnancy and through delivery, shes been a miracle worker . My wife had a c-section for our first child and with Dr.Acharya we were able to have a normal delivery sA. Only the best things to say for such a devoted OB-GYN.

Rashmi Acharya is really an awesome Dcotor ..she takes care of the patients really well .I had wonderful experience for the birth of my son . I will recommend this doctor .Only 3 times I had other Drs in charge check for me.I really liked her.
