Ive never written a review before but my experience here was so horrendous that it needs to be shared to hopefully prevent this happening to others. I originally was very impressed with the staff and the technology at my first appointment. I came back to get my wisdom tooth out and thats where the problems started. I was never told what was actually going to happen during the procedure. The procedure itself was incredibly painful. I have a small jaw and I felt like they were going to pull my joint apart. When I mentioned this, I was ignored. After the procedure I did everything they told me to take care of the wound. After a couple days I was in unbearable pain. I couldnt eat or sleep. I finally called the emergency line on Saturday, 4 days after the extraction, and the recording said theyd call back in 2 hours. I didnt hear anything until the next day. Even then they told me to wait until Tuesday because Dr. Barry wouldnt be in until then. Whats the point of having an emergency line if its not monitored and you tell your patients to wait until the doctor is in.... So I went in on Tuesday and asked if it was a dry socket because I had been desperately googling trying to figure out how to stop the pain. She told me the wound was healed and that I was clenching my teeth and needed to buy a $300 bite guard to help my pain. I saw her for less than 5 minutes. I left and got a $20 night guard at Walgreens which didnt help. The next week my boyfriend had an appointment so I mentioned I was still in pain and the other dentist took a look at it. She said it was just a rough procedure and would take time to heal. At this point I had lost 10 pounds in two weeks because I cant open my mouth to eat let alone chew anything. I decided to go to another dentist today and he found that it indeed was a dry socket packed with debris. He dressed the wound and I already feel much better. The fact that TWO dentists couldnt figure that out after multiple visits is absolutely unacceptable to me. They left me in unbearable pain for two weeks and wouldnt listen to me. It was a simple problem that would have easy to solve if they had just paid attention instead of dismissing me. I would not recommend going here for an extraction. My boyfriend however had fillings done and had a fine experience. So maybe theyre just inexperienced with oral surgery. Im not sure but I will not be returning.

Ive always had positive experiences at Berry Good Dental. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The space is clean and well-organized. I have had my teeth cleaned ~3 times, received two fillings, and recently had my first root canal, all at Berry Good. Zina is pleasant, confident, and caring. Her work is top-notch. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars: I had a tooth that was bothering me for a while that I initially believed to be a tooth that recently had a cavity filled. I told the dental hygienist cleaning my teeth about this issue, and she mentioned an X-ray, but it never happened because the dentist suggested (a) I get a mouth guard because my grinding habit could be causing the sensitivity, and (b) I just get that tooth re-filled with a base. The day of the re-filling, I realized that the pain wasnt coming from the tooth they were preparing to re-fill, it was the one next to it. I mentioned this to the dental hygienist, but I was also questioning whether I was going crazy/my nerves were making me lose my mind just prior to the local anesthetic. She said "Well, well re-fill this one and if it isnt the problem, well check out the other one." As I walked out post-filling, I knew that they had worked on the wrong tooth. I was upset, but this may be more my fault than the dentists fault: I was initially reporting it was the filled tooth. I guess I just had hoped they would investigate where the pain was coming from rather than just moving forward with the initial plan despite more information. I just wasted $80 and 30 min of Zinas time. Fast forward to the follow-up, where I told Zina my adjacent tooth was definitely the problem. After X-rays, they established that I indeed needed a root canal on the painful tooth--finally! Zina changed her schedule the following day to perform the root canal, because she knew I was going on vacation. I AM SO THANKFUL FOR THIS. Overall, I would recommend Berry Good Dental to others. In addition to being a well-run establishment, its walking distance from SU.

While I am impressed with the technology they bring to bear, it was like being in a used car shop with a salesperson who just has to make the quota. I went in for simple cleaning and care, was diagnosed with TMJ so severe that I would need a treatment plan that began at $2000 and went from there. Foolishly, I went along with the first installment and they took molds of my mouth for several hundred dollars. I kept saying that I cant afford thousands of dollars and my insurance doesnt cover any of it, but they kept pushing and pushing and pushing. My fillings needed replacement, I needed braces, I would have to purchase and wear an appliance in my mouth for years. No matter what I said, I couldnt get them to simply keep my teeth clean and baby them along. Im nearly forty-five and wont ever wear braces. No other dentist has worried about the TMJ. And Ive never paid so much money so fast to a dentist aside when I had my wisdom teeth out (and that wasnt a dentist so much as an oral surgeon). My main complaint is that they wouldnt listen to me when I said that I couldnt afford what they were selling. It was like going to the dealership for a Corolla and having the salesperson constantly pitching the Lexus while refusing to sell me the Corolla. Not Berry good at all.

DO NOT GO HERE. I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Berry two months ago. When she injected the local anesthesia, she injured my jaw muscle. Because of this injury to the muscle tissue, my jaw was immediately locked, and I could not physically open it. During the procedure, Dr. Berry repeatedly wrenched my jaw open, potentially furthering the damage. I visited her for a post-op appointment a week after the procedure and voiced my concerns. She belittled my complaints, despite my repeated assertions that I felt that there was something seriously wrong. I visited another dentist to get a second opinion, and he told me that I have a torn jaw muscle, the equivalent of a sprain. The procedure occurred about two months ago, and my jaw has not recovered at all. I have trouble eating regular food and have thus lost 10 pounds. My jaw will still not open to even half of its natural extension. Im afraid that the injury may not heal.

Both of my appointments I had with the dentist, I had to wait because the one tech and doctor were running late. I was forced to get 2 cleanings in a month or the doctor wouldnt see me. Then, Dr Berry told me I had 4 cavities, and she would have to remove an old filling and put a CROWN on my tooth, $500 just for the crown. Dr Berry actually cancelled an appointment on ME because I was five minutes late to my cleaning, even though I still had to wait in the waiting room because the tech wasnt even ready!!! Unprofessional, lie about what it actually needed because they are trying to just make money. I went to Dr Saini on Taft Road and she basically told me I had 2 cavities that needed filling, and I definitely did NOT need a crown. What a waste of time and money Berry Good Dental was.
