I started seeing Dr. Hamlin in March 2016 for back pain and numbness in my legs. I had been previously seeing a pain management specialist, who did Radiofrequency ablations a couple of times a year. Those treatments were no longer effective, and Id gotten to the point that I could not walk more than a block without having to sit down from either pain in my hips or my legs going out on me. My doctor prescribed opiates to manage the pain, and I was taking them 3 times a day for years. I saw a neurosurgeon who told me he could do back surgery on me, but there was only a 50/50 chance of it reducing or eliminating my pain, and it might just make the pain worse. I didnt like those odds, so I decided to try decompression therapy with Oregon Spine & Disc instead. I started off seeing Dr. Hamlin a couple of times a week for adjustments, electric stimulation therapy and decompression therapy. By the end of April, I was able to cut back on taking opiates from 3 times a day to once a day. I gradually moved to once a week visits and by the end of May I was completely off pain medications of any kind. Im now seeing Dr. Hamlin once a month to maintain alignment. Im still drug free and now that Im not in so much pain I can exercise more to improve my overall health and fitness. Dr. Hamlins staff are very friendly and customer service oriented. Im able to get appointments when I need them, without extensive lead times. The facilities are modern and well maintained, with care taken to ensure patient privacy. I highly recommend Oregon Spine and Disc. I have given several friends referrals as well.

I went to see Dr. Hamlin at Oregon Spine and Disc after a car accident. I hadnt slept in a week because of the pain and spasm and constant headaches. I immediately received a treatment plan of massage and soft tissue work and felt so much better after just one visit! The team at Oregon Spine and Disc are super friendly and helpful. The clinic is ultra modern and they have both MDs and Chiropractors and massage therapists. This isnt a 3-minute, bone cracking conveyor belt treatment. The treatment plan is specifically tailored for you to not only get you out of pain, but to restore you to a level that will help prevent other problems in the future.The doctor is very knowledgeable and explains everything really well. The bad - Theyre not open after 6 pm or on weekends and I had to get my x-rays done at another location.

Dr. Joseph Hamlin is the best chiropractor that I have ever been treated by. He knows how to listen to what you are able to tell him about your pain and then ask the correct questions to better understand what is causing your pain. He is able to adjust his treatment to the manner that you prefer to be adjusted. I personally like a more firm and forceful method of adjustment and he has never let me down on improving my overall condition with his adjustments , electrical mussel therapy or event just teaching me what I need to know about what has been causing my condition. I find him a very informative and well natured person. Dr. Joseph Hamlin is a person I would love to have as my friend not just my doctor.

Oregon Spin and Disc is an amazing office! After moving to the Portland area from out of state and having to look for new doctors it was great to find Dr Hamlin. After having a back injury from work, Dr Hamlin and staff took amazing care of me. Everyone one from Tonya that works the front desk, to Bea his assistant, his massage therapist Bob are all amazing!!! Everyone is so friendly, warm and welcoming. Everyone is very professional and his office is very clean (something I find to be important). I am thankful that I have found such an amazing group of people that I can always rely on when I am needing a little adjustment in my life :D Thank you to all of you!!!!

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Joe for > 3 years. I had been having back pain for many years. I had been taking lots of medication to help me cope with the pain. After a couple weeks with Dr. Joe I was off all my medication and feeling amazing. We feel like family every time we walk into his office. He has wonderful bedside manner and is very thorough. He found problems 3 other doctors missed. I see him now regularly and I feel so lucky to have found his clinic. This doctor might just change your life, as he did mine. Raving reviews from this patient! I have sent many family and friends to him since then and they have all been very happy with his care.

Im trepidatious when it comes to chiropractors adjusting my neck, which is my main source of pain, but Dr. Hamlin is gentle and, most importantly, helps with the pain. Unlike other chiropractors who literally just start adjusting you the second you lie flat, Dr. Hamlin does some soft tissue work first to loosen things up and prepare your spine for movement. I really appreciate that. He also can supplement with lasers and TENS and ice after the adjustments which Ive also done at his office. I have to stay on top of it so I come in every other week for an adjustment but I would recommend this office without hesitation for chiropractic care.

The “Oregon Spine and Disc” gave me back my life. I was able to Walk maybe one block or Stand for five minutes before I had treatments from the Oregon Spine and Disc. I would then have to rest my back before I could continue for another short distance. We visited the “Oregon Spine and Disc” and had a MRI on my spine and was determined I was a candidate for treatments they offered. This Treatment was ten times less costly than Surgery. After the treatments were completed I was and today able to hike five miles with no pain. I encourage everyone to have a consultation with the “Oregon Spine and Disc” before Surgery.

Everyone at this clinic is amazing. Super friendly. I look forward to my appointments here. Could not have found a better place for my recovery. I was very skeptical and scared about seeing a chiropractor but the whole team here made me very comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is leary of the experience. Kathy goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome on the phone and in person as well as doing her best to accommodate your schedule. Dr. Hamlin is a very knowledgeable man who can tell you exactly what you need to know. The rest of the staff is just as superb.

This clinic is the real deal, I have struggled with back pain and neck problems from some sports injuries which became chronic and aggravated spending lots of time sitting (at work, in the car, and even at home). Dr. Hamlin is a wonderful chiropractor, very knowledgeable,caring, and focused on making his patients feel better. I have recommended other family members to this great clinic. Staff is also very friendly and location is great, very close to Orenco Station.

I have had a ton of accidents and sports injuries, so I’ve been to many massage and physical therapists as well as chiropractors during my life. Dr. Hamlin is not only a great chiropractic adjuster, he is sincere and takes the time to listen to your issues. The staff at Oregon Spine and Disc are the best. With all the accidents I have, I’m glad that they’re nearby in Hillsboro!
