Dr. Hagedorn is the best dentist I’ve ever met. I strongly recommend him to anyone. He is truly a caring doctor and will respect a patient’s individual need. He is very knowledgeable, and is willing and capable to treat difficult dental conditions. I have been seeing Dr. Hagedorn for a few months. My conditions were complicated - I have recessed sensitive gums and quite a few deep cavities. I have visited a few doctors before Dr. Hagedorn. None of them is as good. There was a dentist even suggested me to see a prosthodontist because he thinks my case was too difficult for him. I came to Dr. Hagedorn in April by recommendation from a great endodontist. Dr. Hagedorn welcomed me warmly. He and his assistant are very caring: during treatments they frequently check how I feel, and in one case they proactively put pillow under my neck to relieve my discomfort even before I voiced it. He checked my teeth very carefully and gave me professional treatment suggestions based firmly on his observations. He takes time to listen to my concerns and addressed each of them thoroughly - He is willing to let me book additional appointment to discuss or treat my new concerns after I left his office, and responded to questions quickly even during the weekend. You can tell he takes his responsibility as a professional very seriously, both from his intense concentration during work and his responsible attitude after the visits. On top of that, his office also has top-notch equipment – for example his X-ray is very high-definition and is able to reveal issues that went undetected by several other dentists. I am greatly touched by his focus on patients best interest. He is really the only dentist I’ve ever met who is so devoted to his work and to the patient. I would strongly recommend him to anyone.

Its been a really long time since Ive been to the dentist, and as such, I have a lot of work that needs to be done, over a period of time. Dr Hagedorn, Laura and all of the other staff are excellent, very pleasant and extremely professional. Theyre very understanding if youre nervous and will work hard to help you feel as comfortable as possible, whether that means walking you through each step, or leaving you to listen to headphones. (They even have WiFi for streaming) The receptionist, Marnie is great. I was confused about the specifics of my coverage and she was able to walk me through it really quickly, and thankfully I have better coverage than I thought I did. The office itself is very clean and well lit, and oddly peaceful for how busy they are. Theyve gone out of their way to make it as comfortable an environment as possible. Im glad I chose Summit Dental, and I definitely recommend to anyone in the area who wants a super competent staff who work hard to care for each patient in a pleasant and efficient way.

I never thought I wouldnt dread going to the dentist...typically Id "rather be in the stirrups" if that gives you any idea of my former dread of the dentist. But Dr. Hagedorn is so personable, gentle and and doesnt give you the hard sell, Im cured of my former phobia. He makes suggestions of needed procedures, but works with the patient to find affordable solutions until you can afford something like a dental implant. I really like the fact that he kept the entire existing staff when he took over the practice. It lends a sense of familiarity (and I adore Marnie and Kathy).

Competency and medical skill are the primary attributes we seek for our family when we go for medical care. Dr. Hagedorn and his team have this at a very high level. Moreover, they are a joy to work with and make "going to the dentist" a more enjoyable experience that one would expect. Dr. Hagedorns skill is something he has plainly taken time to develop. His caring and concern for his patients my well be something to do with being raised in Eastern Oregon where a sense of community is well established. You will not find a better dentist or a better staff in Portland.

I absolutely HATE going to the dentist. Like, I put it off for years, if possible. I know, I know, but there is just something about going to the dentist that I dont like. Well, this time, I went in wanting to hate it, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. Dr. Hagedorn was awesome, made me feel at ease, and was super considerate throughout my procedure. Im even planning on going back really soon for a cleaning. Yes, I said it, Im planning another appointment. I totally recommend Dr. Hagedorn and his team. They are amazing and will make anyone feel comfortable!

If you are looking for a dentist, I invite you to meet Dr. Hagedorn. I have been so nervous about finally getting the crown I have been needing for a while. I finally made my first visit/cleaning at Summit Dental and the whole staff was so understanding of anxiety. They made me feel relaxed. Today I went back for my crown and a filling. It was so EASY! Dr. Hagedorn made the whole procedure comfortable and I didn’t feel a thing. I’m so excited I have a dentist that I trust and look forward to seeing in the future.

My daughter loves Dr. Hagedorn at Summit Dental. Its a very cheerful office in a great location. Marni is wonderful and the doctor is very thorough and pleasant. They were able to coordinate with the orthodontist at Raleigh Hills to get her wire taken off for the cleaning (and then put back on). Summit group is flexible and reliable.

The switch from Dr. Layne to Dr. Hagedorn of Summit Dental a few years ago was seamless. Dr. Hagedorn is thorough, personable, and efficient. The hygienists are friendly as well - Casey is the best hygienist Ive ever had! My teeth are healthy and Im a happy patient :)
