Im surprised by her reviews to be honest. I wouldnt recommend her to anyone. Im a 27 year old female who never had any serious eye issues before, I just wear contacts/glasses. I went in for a routine visit and she told me that I have macular degeneration in both of my eyes. What?! I had to go back to get an ultrasound done on my eyes to look into it further. She claims that yep, that was the case. I told my parents and they both said to get a second opinion. I went to Northeastern Eye Institute and they said that I have floaters, but I definitely do NOT have macular degeneration. Also, that it doesnt even make sense considering Im only 27 and that usually happens within age. She claimed it was due to the use of computer/phone screens... Aside from that horrible diagnosis, while I waited in the waiting room for my appointment (about an hour of waiting) she was talking to her patient (who you could tell she knew pretty well) about politics (I could hear her talking pretty loudly about her love of Donald Trump while in the waiting room) for about 20 minutes straight after that persons exam. I actually had to get up and say something to the receptionist because I had to get back to work and I had been waiting an hour over my appointment time. Funny enough, when I went back to work, I told a coworker what she had told me about my macular degeneration diagnosis and my coworker asked who I see. Guess what?! She ALSO sees her and she ALSO has a macular degeneration diagnosis... shes only 32. I told her to get a second opinion and to not trust this diagnosis. I wouldnt step foot in that place again.

Dr. Winn is an excellent doctor. She explained everything she was doing, and took the time to explain diabetic retinopathy. I had a very short wait (5-10 minutes), and her staff was friendly and professional. They accommodated my schedule changes without any annoyance. She did try to outfit me with their glasses (as ALL OD offices do), and they were a couple hundred bucks, but when I said I couldnt afford it, she wrote the prescription down for me to shop elsewhere, along with a written estimate of what my glasses would cost, so I could accurately compare them to anything else I looked at elsewhere. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Winn is one of the best eye doctors I have ever been to. She is caring, professional and dedicated to her patients. I have been going to her for many years and highly recommend her. She has made sure I was taken care of for my cataracts, a detached retina and has delayed the onset of glaucoma with her treatment and diagnostic testing which is state of the art. I recently moved to the Pittsburgh area AND I still travel back to see her for my appointments! Thats how much she cares and how much trust I have in her!!

Dr. Winn is smart and patient. She is completely thorough and takes the time to explain all vision issues while adding great advise for general health. She even puts up with patients that stray to the "institutional eye care places" and then gratefully return. I highly recommend her.

grossly overcharges clients, poor customer service, more of a sales person than a caring doctor
