My family and I have used this practice for 10+ years and I cant say enough good things about them. They have always made an effort to see me for a same day sick visit if at all possible but there is also only so many patients you can get to on a days notice so if it isnt possible, that should be understandable since I would assume if it was that much of an emergency you would want to go to the emergency room anyway, but Ive always been able to be seen the following day. In my years of being a patient I have seen all 3 physicians and their credentials speak for themselves as does their bedside manner. They listen to you and care! Dr Anderson, my primary care physician, has to be a saint because he has stood by me when my mother was progressing with Alzheimers, my dad with aggressive dementia, and me as a basket case from dealing with it all. God bless him for his kindness and patience! I saw Dr Burkmar a couple of weeks ago for an upper respiratory infection (and dreaded seeing someone new) and to my delight she was wonderful. And as for the staff... All I can tell you is they are super. They have always made me feel welcome from the first time we went there. This office is definitely an asset to DeKalb Medical. after 5 phone calls and 4 unanswered messages left at this office, I am still having bills delivered to my father as "responsible party" with all of the details of my medical visit and lab work, I havent been on his insurance in 7 years nor lived at their address in 4 years! They cant seem to get it together. Also had blood work done and want told it would cost me an additional $53 to have that done on top of my $25 copay. Dr. Burkmar did not diagnose my ailment and sent me for tests that she never followed up with me on. The ultrasound she had me sent out for was going to cost $600+ so I didnt do that. This place is a money pit and their front desk staff is highly incompetent. I have been going to this office since I was in middle school (now 30 years old) but will never be back.

Desk staff is awful. Been sick four times since January. Every time I call I get told they have nothing until a week out. Go to minute clinic pay get prescribed mucinex then with in a week Im sick again. Staff doesnt care. Ask for doctor to give me a call and tell her I want it into the notes that Ive been turned away three times. Thats Ill find another PCP if they never see me. Staff doesnt care. Use to be so nice there. Now Im looking for a new Dr. Even though the doctors are great. Bad staff brings whole office down.

Ill start with the good. Dr. Burkmar and her MAs/CNAs were very nice and professional and helpful. If they had a better front desk staff, I wouldnt be looking elsewhere for my care. Trying to make an appointment for a yearly checkup took 2 days worth of calling. The phone would either ring and ring or an automated message would pick up, and Id never get put through to anyone. Trying to make a sick visit appt? Same deal. Called all morning to never even have my phone call answered. Not worth the hassle.

Love Dr. Burkmar! This practice takes such good care of my family. They work with us dealing with our crazy prescription insurance. Dr. Burkmar actually listens and remembers the things you have said about your health and is not closed minded as some other doctors I have been to and is open to read new research. She explains everything in a way that you can understand and she is very compassionate (an important trait in a doctor! :) I have seen Dr. Anderson in the past and I really like him too!

My wife and I have been a patient of Dr. Dean Attaway for over 5+ years and have always been very happy with his practice. He is a very kind man and listens to you. We never felt like he was in a rush to see the next patient, he spends all the time you need to explain your problem and unlike some of the negative reviews about the practice we have never had a problem being seen. Great staff as well!!

Ive been going to Dr Anderson for over 30 years, which obviously tells you how I feel about his medical treatment. He always returns phone calls timely and Ive never had a hard time getting an appointment. I have seen Dr Attaway once, when Dr Anderson was away and really liked him too. I would highly recommend this group to anyone I know.

One never know when this office will be closed. Firstly the office is closed for lunch for TWO HOURS, secondly the office closes anytime despite the fact that it is supposed to close at 4:30pm. Very unreliable. Would not recommend their service to anyone at all.

My Doctor of 17 years closed his office. I looked around for months for a Dr. I felt good about. They have been my familys Doctors now since 2014 and I have been very pleased. The Doctors have been thorough and the staff has been friendly.

I can NEVER get a "sick" appointment with this group - and Im not trying to just see one doctor! The past 3 times Ive tried to get in, they are booked. No matter how early I call. They arent particularly nice, either. Im done with them!
