Scott Levan may be a good chiropractor in practice, even in preach, but in person he is severely self-involved, has a messiah complex, and propagates a cult mentality. He made me bring my mother to the second appointment as a person to "hold me accountable." He then made us sit through a one-on-one sermon about the full body of his beliefs (beliefs that were centered around the spine but radiated out into everything) for nearly an hour and a half, holding my test results, and therefore us, hostage. The contents of his movie-long preachfest ranged; he was condescending, presumptuous, political, religious, pandering, rude, abrasive, controlling.. the list goes on. He didnt give me the full examination on the first appointment, then miraculously "remembered" results of tests he never did. When I confronted the issue, he didnt apologize, didnt make up for it, and made excuses like "oh, thats right, I had a room full of patients at that time." What was I paying for? He treats you like a broken person with a suffering spine, as opposed to a suffering person with a broken spine. Like how youd treat a drug addict, he likes to hold you accountable for the damage youve done to yourself. I asked him why and how my neck could have become incorrectly straightened - He said "You tell me." He is a person who is very forceful but constantly says they arent being forceful. He tries to convert you, and constantly claims hes not trying to convert you. Hes a bullshit artist. I dont care how good he is at his actual job of treating the spine (which I cant comment on because I never got that far), but no matter how good, he isnt worth it. [Update] I checked my bank account and they charged me $95.00 for what was supposed to be a $35.00 copay. I called in and they did quickly resolve it. However, if I hadnt checked through my bank statement and remembered the charge to be less... Yea.

Subluxation, Subluxation, Subluxation, If you walk through this Quacks door you have one! He and his brainwashed staff use this word like George W Bush used "Terror and Terrorism" After my initial indoctrination into the "Subluxation" bootcamp I had an xray and a five minute exam which determined I would need close to two years of treatment. Next and most important part of treatment, BILLING, what my Insurance would pay and what I would be responsible for. After that its all about getting your spouse into the office so they can see the benefits of what Im about to go into debt for, and guess what? they have a "SUBLUXATION" too ! Now we have to get our 60 to 120 second treatments together, and this is where the Herbal Life, Mary Kay, Tupperware family starts to grow even bigger, do you have friends with back pain? get them in for a discount on your bill, Great news now Im at the top of the pyramid. All in all I went to 8 visits just to see if could get some relief for my aching back, nope, felt worse at the end of it, and after he was paid $219.49 by my ins. company and $485.00 by myself not including the $125.00 I paid out for the Xray, did I get any offer of some sort of refund for unused balance? NOPE! Finally went to an actual back surgeon got MRIs taken and have had much more relief, told him about my experience with the LeVan cult and got the best answer I could ever expect from a true medical professional, he called me a dumb ass.

My quality of life has significantly improved since I began receiving care from Dr. Scott LeVan. I had such pain in my lower back that it was difficult to sleep at night. The burning pain was untouched by pain medication and turning over in bed was almost impossible. I was also having neck pain which caused headaches. I rarely have neck discomfort or headaches. The organization and teamwork in the office is a result of the good leadership of Dr. LeVan. They all genuinely care about me and my family. My husband, and 4 children also are regularly seen by Dr. Scott. I know our familys immune systems function much more effectively because of our regular adjustments. There has been several different times that one of the children would complain of an earache, and after a visit to Dr. Scott, they did not have any further problems. One time in particular, my 2 year old had been awake most of the night with a sore ear, and a slight fever. I called the office first thing in the morning and took him right in. He was totally normal within 10 hours and slept the whole night. Another aspect of the clinic I appreciate is the education. I am someone who likes to know the science/reason behind things. I have learned so much through the Tuesday workshops and am able to better share with others the amazing benefits that Chiropractic can have in your life.

Kenneth Robertsons review of Levan Chiropractic nailed our feelings of this "drink the Koolaid" chiropractic experience. To put it blunt, if you enjoy the church like atmosphere and the fellowship and communion you receive at your favorite church, you will probably like Scott Levans practice. Think Joel Osteen or Pat Roberston. The first visit, LeVan will point out all the "demons" in your life which are causing you pain and suffering and how his practice and teachings are the one true truth in your path to a healing. Give me a break... They leave off by promising treatment on your next visit as they need to go over your tests and put together a plan. They also ask that you bring your significant other so that they can be there for your life changing event. Folks, their model is to guilt you into spending lots of money at their office. They ask you to bring your significant other so that they can try and sell to them as well. I go to the doctor because I have an issue I cant resolve. I dont need everything in my life to be an experience.

Dr. Scott LeVan and the staff at LeVan Chiropractic are incredible. From the moment I met them at an event at Fort Hunter 2 years ago, they made me feel like family. They strive to make sure that my family and I are satisfied with the care we receive. It is impressive to me how they interact with each patient as an individual. It shows they really care about their patients as people, not just as clients. When I started my "chiro" journey I suffered from migraines a few times a a month. I am proud to say that Ive had two in the past year. I attribute that to the care I received at LeVan Chiropractic. My wife and two children are also patients and love the staff there and they care they receive. Any question, any concern, any issue we have they willingly and skillfully address. And if they dont have answer (which is rarely), the find out and follow up. I thank God for LeVan Chiropractic and am fortunate to be counted a member of the LeVan Chiro Family. They are TRULY a blessing.

Dr. Scott and his team are excellent, and a chiropractor unlike any other. I played contact sports in high school and regularly visited another chiropractor in the area, and that was fine - easy to schedule, and occasionally went in to get my back cracked. Dr. Scott was totally different. Not only does he do the regular adjustments, but he really strives to educate his patients both on what your current situation is (through x-rays, posture checks, models, etc.) and how he will correct it. He also runs weekly, half-hour sessions on Tuesdays to further teach spinal health to his clients. Dr. Scott is great - cant recommend him enough.
