They run a nice little scam here. My insurance provides me with one free wellness exam (physical) each year. It ensures that each employee is keeping up with their health, which saves my workplace money over the long run. When at my wellness exam in December, I mentioned some lower back pain Ive been feeling. The nurse practitioner did a quick check and sent me on my way. I left without paying a copay as part of my insurance coverage. Months later I receive a bill for the copay. Apparently because I mentioned lower back pain, it is now no longer a wellness visit and I owe them my copay. So if I want my complimentary wellness exam, I cant mention if I am not well for any reason.

I was one of his first patients at his first office long ago in another location where he wanted to help those who couldnt afford care. Encyclopedic knowledge, courteous but no nonsense manner, always been right, once overruling another opinion to make a life-saving call. He will make it clear that proper healthcare is a two-way street and if you dont pull your load hell call you out. Honest, straightforward, smart. I now travel from CT to see him. Dont expect bags of pills, hes minimalist.
