Yesterday was my first appointment/cleaning at this office - it was a very smooth and easy visit. Everyone at the office has been so kind. Carmen has been very helpful with getting my in the system and scheduling/rescheduling appointments (the snow kept me away 2 weeks ago). Shes always so pleasant on the phone and was very nice in person, too. They brought me back about five minutes late but once I was in the chair I was being worked with - at my previous dentist, theyd bring me back on time but then I would sit in the chair for 20 minutes sometimes and wait for a person to come. I much prefer how it was handled yesterday to this alternative. I also like how the dentist gave me the exam first so I knew how my teeth were, and the cleaning came second. I dont know if thats standard procedure here, but I did like that. In addition, the hygienist Adrienne (I may have spelled her name incorrectly) was so accommodating with the cleaning itself and made sure I got the topical gel to help with the sensitivity and pain I deal with during cleanings. Due to some extra tartar because Im about a month and a half past due for a cleaning, she had quite a bit of scraping to do, but she was very careful about minding my sensitive areas which I truly appreciate. It does not go unnoticed because Im used to having to push through being very uncomfortable because I find the topical wears off by the time the hygienist gets to my really sensitive spots (for example, at my old practice, theyd put the gel all over my mouth and then clean the entire mouth. Adrienne applied it to smaller areas, then cleaned those areas, and moved on to apply gel to the next area. It seems simple enough but Ive never had my cleaning done that way and it was so much better). Adrienne checked in with me to see how I was doing and gave me updates as far as how we were progressing and positive reinforcement along the way. The staff at the previous practice we went to was not nearly as accommodating and that is part of the reason why I have started coming to your office. I am very glad that Ive referred my husband to switch to your practice as well; I will tell him he can look forward to a good visit in a couple of weeks. Great job!

I am not one to write reviews, however I was so thoroughly impressed by this practice that it only felt fair to share my experience with others. Prior to visiting Dr.Chhina at Advanced Dental Smiles, I avoided the dentist like the plague for many years because of the horrible experiences (to say the least) I have had with other dental offices. After hearing only positive feedback from a friend who had work done at the office, I decided to give it a go. Upon arriving, I was impressed by how clean and organized the place was. After my first visit, Dr.Chhina and the front desk staff sat down with me to go over my extensive plan of care. It was incredibly overwhelming learning that I needed so much work done and I was certain I would not be able to afford these procedures. Dr. Chhina, her wonderful assistant Olena, and the pleasant front desk girls Tanya, and Zori really took the time to listen and address my many questions and concerns throughout the entire process. I did not feel pressured into scheduling anything before I was ready, and we were able to work out a plan that was reasonable. I was provided with information to take home about the procedures. Every visit, I was seen very promptly. Dr. Chhina’s personality was genuine, honest, caring and attentive from the very beginning, which is why I trust her with all of my dental needs now. As a professional, she has proved to be knowledgeable and meticulous with every procedure. Also, when I had a dental emergency twice this past year for a painful, infected tooth, I was scheduled and seen the same day. After many years of being embarrassed about my teeth, I can finally smile again with confidence. I am also no longer afraid of the dentist and cannot thank Dr.Chhina and the staff enough for their outstanding work. Please keep it up!

Just in case you would rather not start out with my life story, and therefore never get to my opinion, let me just say that I have never been taken care of better medically, emotionally, and financially than at Advanced Dental Smiles! The entire staff has obviously been chosen with the patients dental health and comfort as its main concern. They are very caring and highly skilled in the very latest technology. I highly recommend them! I, unfortunately, inherited a mouthful of problems and had spent many years, and much money, at several different dentists, with cavities, root canals, crowns, bridges, etc. I had finally reached a point that dentures or implants were my only options. I left the first rude consulting periodontist in tears, after an unrealistic plan for my mouth - along with a lecture for what I should have done or could have done, etc. And paid him well for that horrible visit. I came home and did a search on the internet. Advanced Dental Smiles popped up, and since it was close to my home, I called them. Best call ever! A wonderful woman named Carmen answered and I told her my sad tale regarding my dental history. With unbelievable compassion, she told me to come in so they could take a look and see what they could do. They didnt even charge me and were able to give a me several choices of plans that were feasible. But, even more importantly than that - they gave me hope! Since that day several years ago, every procedure, consult, and routine visit has been a first class, professional, and friendly experience... at all three offices. I have recommended them to a woman at church, who cant stop thanking me, and my family has started to go there as well.

Maria, the dental hygeniest was exceptional. She was professional, thorough, and compassionate. The dentist was gentle, professional, and thorough as well. I was happy with the actual work that was done. One aspect of the visit with which I was not pleased was the unprofessional attitude and communication skills of the dental assistant. She discussed her disapproval with practices at the office as well as her unhappiness with other professionals within the practice. She also tried to initiate a private conversation with the dentist during my visit regarding her nails and plans for the afternoon. She was unprofessional in both her verbals and nonverbal communication. It was apparent that she is unhappy in her job, complaining about the workload while I was in the chair having my teeth worked on,sighing, and rolling her eyes. This is not acceptable. She was also distracted by the television, watching a program while she was assisting the dentist. It would be a better practice to ask if the patient prefers to have the television on and what program they would prefer to watch as I assume the purpose of the television is to distract the patient and not the staff. It is a shame that this employees behavior detracted from the overall experience. I would think that one employee bad mouthing another would tear the team apart as well.I hope this behavior is dealt with before my next visit. If this behavior is not repeated, I will give the practice a five star rating and rewrite a review.
