I suffered a fall down the stairs in 2007 and landed on my tailbone. Shortly after that, I was diagnosed with a neuromuscular condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease which affects the hands, legs and feet...causing muscle atrophy. My gait is severely affected by CMT. I started going to Optimal Health Chiropractic in late 2014 due to extreme lower back pain. This is something I have experiences for YEARS as well as the occasional stiff neck. After ONE adjustment, my lower back pain was gone...GONE. I havent had a flare up since. Dr. Michael McKelvey D.C. not only assists in correcting the issue but he also educates his patients on overall well-being. Something I have never seen from a chiropractor. His staff is outstanding and it is always a pleasure when I have an appointment! Optimal Health Chiropractic also offers various options for payment...these days, not all of us have insurance. I entered Dr. McKelveys office a little over a year ago as a nervous and apprehensive patient. I am a true believer now in the healing powers of a chiropractor. Dr. McKelvey has been very patient with me over the year and for that I am very grateful. Not only is he patient and gentle, but also very knowledgeable. Because of him, I am back to running strong after several years of one injury after the next. In the year, I have run a marathon, a 10k, and a few 5ks. Currently, I am training for another marathon. I am feeling strong as ever and I owe it to Dr. McKelvey!!!
