My entire experience was great. I called to make an appointment with the expectation that there wouldnt be any available appointments that day. The young lady on the phone was able to squeeze me in later that afternoon and also made sure I had everything I needed before coming into the office. When I arrived at the office, all three of the young ladies behind the front desk greeted me and one lady checked me in and had me fill out some paper work while I waited for my appointment. The waiting area was peaceful; nice and clean with several reading options. Right as I finished the paperwork, another young lady took me into a room and had me go through a series of tests and then had me wait in another room for the doctor. I never waited any longer than a few minutes. When the doctor came in the room, he was friendly and made some small talk before he examined my sight. The doctor gave a concise and understandable diagnosis of my eyes and made some great recommendations and provided some options for me to consider in the future. He walked me to the front and had me talk with one of the young ladies behind the counter. She walked me over to the area where the glasses were and we looked at several options for glasses. Once we narrowed down our selection she asked for the opinion of some of her co-workers. Once I chose a pair of glasses, she worked with my insurance to give me a really great deal and had me wait just a few more minutes while she filled the prescription and grabbed the frames. While she was doing this, another young lady offered to ring me up for my glasses. The young lady came back with my glasses and adjusted them for me to fit my comfort. Provided me with a receipt and some best practices for taking good care of glasses. On my way out everyone stopped their conversations and wished me a fond farewell. This was my first visit to an optometrist in a couple of years and my first visit to one in Nashville. I was very pleased with the kindness of the staff members and the knowledge of the doctor. They work really well as a team to the make the experience great for each patient. This was my first visit there, but all of the staff picked up on my name quickly and made my experience very personal. This shook off a great deal of the nerves that I came in with. If youre looking for an optometrist in this area of Nashville, stop in and talk with the people at Ballard Vision Associates. Youll be glad you did.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Ballard for about 2 years and he and his staff are fantastic. Kind, thorough, patient, helpful, trustworthy, funny. The equipment is state of the art and unintrusive, the office is SUPER clean, the frame choices are fashionable and wont break the bank.. and may I add that he is the only Dr. that was able to get me to near perfect 20/20 vision in glasses AND contacts!! From the moment you walk into the office you are immediately comfortable with your surroundings. I can sit here all day and go down the list of positive things about the Dr and his Staff and not have any negatives to include. Ill never go to another Optometrist and I tell everyone about Ballard Vision. Stop wasting your time with other Drs in other places. The search stops here.

For my first visit with Dr. Ballard, I called the office to get an appointment to get new contacts and to exam my irritated right eye. I was given a time slot for 30 minutes later, which I really appreciated. The office staff was friendly, and I only had to wait as long as it took me to fill out new patient forms. Dr. Ballard and his assistant immediately put me at ease during the exam and explained clearly what was going on with my eye issue, and gave me some drops to take care of it and instructions going forward. I had a follow-up visit a few days later to get a contact lens exam and had the same great experience. I left very impressed with Dr. Ballard and his staff, and I am very happy that I am under their care. I highly recommend Dr. Ballard to anyone.

Ballard Vision was fantastic. They have extended hours midweek for flexible scheduling. They really seem to know their patients and the staff was incredibly helpful. I was able to schedule an appointment same day, the doctor was very kind and thorough and when i was having trouble picking out a new frame, the employee wrote down all 7 pairs i was interested in so i could come back with a friend for review. Even though i was there 20min before closing and went back and forth between the same frames 20 times, they never stopped being pleasant or helpful and actually ended up picking out an 8th frame for me that i hadnt even looked at at first that ended up being the pair i bought!

An amazing experience. Went to another place to get my lens prescription but they did not have the frames that I wanted and sent me to Ballard Vision. Cindy helped me to find exactly what I wanted and then offered to FedEx it to me in Virginia where I was working. Told her that my favorite frames were broken at the nose piece and Cindy looked at them and said she could get them fixed AFTER 4 other places told me no way to fix them. Ballard Vision is a great place and the staff could not be more caring and genuinely helpful.

Broken, EXPENSIVE frames - My new lens prescription (w/ current frames) took a whole week longer than promised, and had to keep calling to find out the status. When it finally arrived I could tell something was dodgy by their reaction, and had to come back within a week due to a weak front connection. Within two weeks my expensive frames broke, and they refused to help me replace them. Im very confident Ballards lab caused this, and they will not step up to make it right.

I recently relocated to the Nashville area and needed to find an eye doctor because I have been wearing glasses since I was 5. I made an appointment via the online portal and the staff immediately contacted me to finalize everything. I was greeted very warmly upon walking into the office and the staff was very helpful, professional, thorough, and respected my time. We have been seeing Dr Ballard for over 16 years, and we CHOOSE to go out of network just to see him! Quality, state of the art technology, a staff that is kind and caring, and Dr Ballard himself is amazing! He sees our entire family, ever since my youngest was 4 years old! Thorough exam, amazing use of technology which we can see all angles and any issues of our eyes...and NO DIALATION of the eyes needed with his equipment! A++

I had a hard time finding an optometrist with office hrs I could manage with my work schedule that was in my insurance plan. Dr Ballard thoroughly explained my eye problems and what would solve them - he spent more time with me than any other D.O. Ive been to. The staff was great- very personable, helpful and frank about what frames looked better with my features but werent pushy about what to buy. Excellent experience.
