I suffered a broken molar last week, and was in a bit of a panic about it because my regular (and now former) dentist couldnt fit me into his schedule soon enough. Based on the Google reviews I read, I called Dentistry of Nashville and Dr. Elam agreed to see me the first thing the next morning. Dr. Elam examined my tooth, told me what needed to be done to fix it, and reassured me that my molar was in no serious danger. Unfortunately, his practice is out-of-network for my dental insurance, and I needed to find an in-network dentist to repair the tooth. I offered to pay Dr. Elam for the exam, but he simply told me "no charge, call us if we can be of any more help" and sent me on my way. I did find another excellent dentist to fix the tooth (thats a different review), but I was very impressed both by the practice (very modern facility and equipment, excellent staff, and the sort of good "vibe" you get from a well-run medical practice) and by Dr. Elam himself. So while my experience with Dentistry of Nashville was very limited, what I saw really impressed me. If my insurance situation was different, I would not hesitate to return to them.

As a physician myself, I am choosy. Dr. Vaughan has been my dentist for years. He is gentle, kind, and caring. He is a person of high integrity and a quality dentist. The office is very nice and comfortable and I have noticed that it seems no patients seems to wait in the waiting area very long at all. The staff is professional and friendly. Appointments are made easy for you and come with reminders. Through years of routine dental maintenance with a few problems identified and remedied, it has been a pleasant experience with no unnecessary procedures. In addition, I really like the convenient location.

Really wish they were in the MetLife network :( I just moved here and needed a good dentist. I trusted these reviews as my guide, and I was not let down. These people are very courteous, kind, funny, and professional all at once. They even have pillows (PILLOWS!) and sunglasses you can wear so you dont get blinded by the lamps! I have never been to a dentist of the calibre before. My expectations were surpassed.

Over the years, he has always been there for emergencies, conservatively approaches tooth problems, has saved some teeth and even spared me from needless gum surgery recommended by another dentist (years ago...still no problems).
