I think Dr. Lawson is an great physician she was personable, thorough and explained in detail the issues I was having in laymans terms. We discussed possible options and she told me we would make a decision based on future test results. I was pleased with my visit and her bedside manner. When I returned for follow up tests the staff asked me why I was there (instead of reading my chart which indicated that I was scheduled) for follow up testing. They then told me she wasnt there yet nor was the sonographer so they werent sure why I would have been scheduled for that day and time.....duh.....THEY SCHEDULED ME FOR THIS VISIT PER HER INSTRUCTIONS. Her office staff leaves a lot to be desired..... they leave you on hold for excessive amounts of time (today I held on for 20 minutes), repeatedly pick up the line asking you what youre holding for (even after youve explained several times) and sometimes never even come back to the phone. I was supposed to be contacted about test results (I never received the specific results via the private portal) so I called the office to follow up. I was passed around several times before I was told I would be called back, I wasnt. I had to keep calling which really is discouraging. Dr. Lawson told me she would contact me to personally to discuss my options she never did. I ended up speaking with a nurse who had to keep asking the doc questions for me as I needed answers about my options. This type of treatment is very discouraging, why hasnt this office staff been trained properly???

Dr Lawson is excellent! I cant believe its taken me this long to leave a review, but 4.5 years ago, I was pregant with my first. During a routine visit, she found an arrhythmia using the Doppler. She was very professional and helped me remain stress free as she referred me to a feral cardiologist. My baby ended up needing medication in utero and monitoring until a year after birth. Had no intervention taken place, things could have gone wrong, but shes a healthy, intelligent 4 year old today. That baby was born via Csection which went smoothly at the hands of Dr Lawson. 15 months later, I had another baby(VBAC). Im so thankful Dr Lawson allowed me to deliver my second baby naturally; it went very smoothly with no complications. Dr Lawson is highly intelligent, professional, kind, funny, and is a very skilled surgeon. Im a health care professional as well, so I dont take these attributes lightly.

Read the reviews on yelp! My first appointment there was my last. I will NEVER go back. Then entire office from the receptionist to the nurse right on down to the doctor is unprofessional. My appointment was at 3:45, I sign in at 3:26. I wasnt called back until 5pm. I should have left after the first hour. This was all after having my 1st appt rescheduled as I was waiting to be called back because something came up. Yea, ok. As I was telling the nurse that I dont want to see dr. Lawson anymore because I was tired of waiting, she begged me to stay, against my better judgement I did. And what I was met with was underwhelming. I tried a new dr bc I thought she would be more in tune and understanding with health issues that affect black women. I was so wrong. If you value your time, your money, yourself as a person I would recommend that you not go to this dr.

I really do like Dr. Lawson a lot and wish that I could have stayed on as her patient, however the front office and nurses make this very difficult. As many others have said, I often find them very unprofessional. The wait times while in the office to see the Dr are long as well as the availability of appointments booked out for a year. The follow-up from either nurses or Dr. Lawson herself is almost non-existent. Ive almost always had to call them to find out results of tests or blood work when I was told that they would call me as soon as they are in. I and someone else that I know who was also going to Dr. Lawson, have chosen to find new OBGYNs. Her business is booming so Im sure they could care less that were gone, but I do hope it gets better for others. :)

I really enjoyed Dr. Lawson, however her office staff is beyond sub par. I had an appointment for a well woman exam in April 2016. I was charged for a test I didnt ask for, nor believed to have received. Ive been battling with them since for it to be removed from my bill with no resolution. Ive left countless messages and emails. Ive been told it will be taken care of, yet it hasnt. Whenever I call, I get passed around from one person to another and back and forth because no one in the office seems have any clue on how to handle it. They just blame another person and pass me back and forth.

Ive been using Dr. Lawson for 7 years. Shes very personable and knowledgeable. I moved to Dallas in my 7th month of pregnancy and she was awesome. What I like most about her is that she makes you feel like the patient is more than a chart. I had a pulmonary embolism when I was 33 and Dr. Lawson requested all my records from previous doctors, hospitals and took the time to really go through them to familiarize herself with my medical history. I have used many gynecologists during my life; however this is the only one I will use now!

Dr. Lawson is one of the most genuine, caring, and educated people you will ever meet. While her professionalism is off the charts, youll never for one second feel like you are being rushed in or out. Dr. Lawson takes the time to answer every question, and no matter how busy she is she will make you feel like you are her most important patient. Not only do I trust her implicitly with my health, I always want to hug her when I leave. Shes just wonderful.

Dr Lawsons staff leaves a lot to be desired. I wonder if she knows just how bad they are. Extensive hold time via phone, no follow-through, long wait times, lazy and border line incompetent, will tell you whatever it takes to get the responsibility off of themselves. So glad my direct medical care is not in their hands, but I often wonder how would they feel if they were treated the same way. Dr Lawson herself is just great!

Got terrible customer service via phone and in office. Gave them a second chance and it was even worse the next time. Tried to get records transferred to a new provider - its been a month since the request and the complete records still arent sent. Do not waste your time with this practice. They are the most unorganized, unprofessional medical office Ive ever visited.

Dr. Lawson is a FANTASTIC physician. I have been going to her for more than 10 years. She has helped me bring three beautiful babies into this world (in spite of complications) and I trust her completely. The office staff need a lot of improving in their etiquette, call-backs and thoroughness, but I can overlook it because she & her clinical team are so great!

Overall Ive had a very poor experience with this office. The original doctor I saw left, and from there its been downhill. The office staff is rude and wont return my phone calls after having multiple issues that needed to be addressed. I would highly recommend not putting your most personal care with this team.
