If it were possible to rate him higher, I would. I moved to the area in 2007, and needed a physician. I worked at a local hospital, and began asking the staff and some of the specialists who they would recommend for an internal medicine phyician, with the added criteria that this physician treats the hospital staff with respect. They all said the same name, Dr. Jay Alang. Ive never regretted this choice. He is attentive, a good listener, and has friendly office staff. If youre looking for a doctor that can coordinate care for patients with multiple issues, this is your guy. I have had an immediate need before, and was able to walk-in and see him. Ive had to call before for medicine replacement while on vacation. Not a problem. Ive recommended many friends and relatives, male and female, and were all 100% satisfied.

I had too many problems with this doctor. First i tried to reschudle..couldnt get hold of the docs office for 2 days. Then My husband went to retake his liver test as suggested by endocriniologist. They never called with the results..after two weeks when we called to check..they said the doctor had cancelled the liver test (even though when my husband went for the test, the doc said to run liver +cholestrol) because the liver tests were run earlier...How idiotic?? The purpose of the visit to recheck the liver levels..and he cancelled them?? The office staff never picks up the phone..you have to leave a voicemail and plus they never call you with results..they want you to schedule another appointment to discuss results. If tests are normal..why would i come back?? Very very frustrated with this Doc..never going back again.

I have come into some serious health issues this past year and I have been treated with such excellent care.. I am so confident of Dr Alangs decisions on the referrals to specialists and he follows up to get all I need to get good results. I am so confident of his care that I drive to his office when I could easily find a physician closer. His staff is really kind and always are there to help. He is deserving of five stars as it is hard to find a doctor that will not only take time with you but really figures out what needs to be done to get results.

I have been seeing Dr. Alang for about two months, so far I am very pleased. His office staff has responded very well and he is very nice and caring and has had no problem taking over my very complicated medical problems and has referred me to some great specialists. This is Feb 2013 and whatever problems they may have had in the past seem to have been taken care of. I am 60 and a female and very pleased with this doctor.

Dr. Alang is an excellent doctor and his staff is very friendly. Ive had him in-hospital and in-office visits and he listens to you well and wants to figure out what is the best direction with your illness. I have nothing but positives to say about him. Ive been seeing Dr Alang for 13 years now. Hes absolutely fantastic! I drive from Richardson for my appointments. That should be an indicator how much I trust him.

I have been calling this office leaving voicemails for FOUR DAYS and NO ONE has returned my call. I guess providing patient care is NOT a priority to Dr. Alang.
