A few weeks ago, I sought medical attention for excruciating lower back pain. After having a specialist confirm that I did not have a significant injury, I had the option of having expensive injections, with no guarantees they would help. Or, I could just take prescription pain pills and muscle relaxant meds. I decided against the steroid injections. I tried the prescription meds for two weeks, but they did not relieve or even lessen the pain. I called my doctor and insisted on physical therapy. With script in hand, I began my homework to find a physical therapy facility best suited for me. I then called several. I was especially interested in Texas Physical Therapy Specialists. I learned that the therapists use multiple techniques and strive to find the most effective treatment plan for the patient. I made an appointment and soon learned I had made the best choice for me. Dr. Leech at the Austin Balcones Woods facility, was diligent in mapping my initial treatment plan, and constantly modifying the plan to make sure I had the best results. Along with both conventional and specialized techniques to address the problem areas, I was given lots of core strengthening and stretching exercises. As part of my treatment plan, Dr. Joseph Leech taught me so much about the neuroscience of pain. Understanding pain and minimizing its power in the absence of true injury. Its really a mindset (my words). Yesterday was my final therapy session. How am I today? For today, I am pain free. I will still have periodic episodes of back pain. We all will at some time or another. Pain is a part of living. The difference; I am now armed with knowledge and a plan of action to reduce and even eliminate pain, without medication. Plus lots of great exercises and techniques to prevent painful recurrence. Add in frequent cardio, and guess what? During the weeks of therapy, I have lost 10 pounds and 1 dress size!! My muscles are becoming stronger and leaner, so I benefited in ways I was not expecting. Oh, by the way, I just turned 66 and am ready to resume hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking or whatever I want as I will soon be retired. I am happy to recommend Texas Physical Therapy Specialists. Dr. Leech and the other therapists, interns, and office staff were always courteous, respectful and so very helpful and encouraging. Thank you TPTS!

My wife was due for knee replacement surgery in approximately two weeks.......BAM! My back, hip and leg hurt so bad I could not stand and of course walk. I am supposed to be her support, nurse and chief go get it until she heals. My physician sent me to TPT by mistake as she wanted me to go to the one on Williams Drive<<<<<< ( I have been hear before). I went to TPT as I had a referral in hand and needed help fast. Unless I sat with ice packed around my buttocks and lower back for an hour, I was immobile. TWO days of therapy and I am pain free, four days and I lost ten pounds. After the healing process allows, we both will attend therapy at Texas Physical Therapy Specialists. Everyone there has a smile, are very attentive and I believe very knowledgeable. Stephanie, Drs David and Aaron are the names I recall but the faces I surely will never forget.

Being new to the area and not knowing where to go or how long my recovery would take, I wanted someplace close to my home. As it turned out this has been one of the easiest part of my transition to central Texas! My initial phone contact was handled with respect and awareness for my immediate appointment need. After the evaluation with my therapist, Dr. Mike McTague, we began immediately to repair my injured shoulder. He has a PT Doctorate and also Board certified in orthopedics, and really knows what is going on physically, He has an easy way about him and allows you to work according to your pain level. All of his staff and other therapists are wonderful and encouraging. They are all specialists in their patient care... I have no hesitation in recomending them.

I absolutely love Texas Physical Therapy Specialists at Westover Hills. They are extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and polite and they TRULY care about your health. They are committed to helping their patients improve their quality of life and educating them on how to maintain those improved results. They have helped me more than I thought anyone could and I am so grateful for my improving health. I recommend everyone try them. You will not be disappointed. I was very doubtful that physical therapy would help me...and they proved me wrong. They are wonderful and I will continue to go to them for treatment. Thank you, wonderful people at Texas PT!

I was referred to Texas PT Specialists due to pain caused by a neck injury. There, I was assigned to a physical therapist who designed my plan of care after a thorough initial exam. Each session, the techs greet me within minutes of my arrival and get me started on my exercise routine, reviewing instructions for each segment. I then meet with my therapist who evaluates my progress and listens to my concerns so he can best manage my recovery. I have been attending PT sessions for 2 weeks and feel noticeable improvement. I highly recommend the team at Texas PT Specialists as they are knowledgeable, caring and respectful.

I was referred to the office by my Physician, was probably the best thing that I could have ever done. As a long distance hiker, I was concerned that my hiking days were over or severely compromised. I discussed my lifestyle with my Physical Therapist and was given a tailored stretching, core strengthening regimen that I followed. I now incorporate it in my morning and evening stretches after a long day of hiking as well as anytime I feel i need it. Thanks to the Wonderful Physicians and Staff that challenged me and backed my belief, that I should not have top alter my lifestyle.

The staff at Texas Physical Therapy Specialists at the Rogers Road facility are so welcoming, professional and kind, that they make the therapy so much more of a positive experience than I had anticipated. The exercises I learned (explained and demonstrated so well) are part of my daily routine to stay in good physical shape. I recommend them as an upbeat, caring, group of therapists who are well-trained to help patients achieve a better state of well-being and improved quality of life.

I have had the privilege of being a patient, at 2 different times, of Texas Physical Therapists Georgetown. At both of these sessions, at least one year apart, I was treated by all staff members with kindness, caring, and great thoughtfulness. All sessions were planned for me so that I came away much better, and with a plan for continuing my progress at home. My sincere thanks to all but especially to Neil, Justin, Breana, Mike-- and all the names who have slipped my mind.

I was referred to Texas Physical Therapy off of US 183 with a laundry list of aches & pains. I even wondered if it was possible to expect any relief since I had delayed seeking help for so long. My therapist, Marissa, looked @ my list of complaints and essentially said "okay, lets get to work". I will start my 5th session next week with her and her team and have been very satisfied with my progression. They are all very attentive and knowledgeable.
