My appoint was at 10:30 am and we did not get called back till 11:17 am . Also the lady at the front desk with thin short hair charged me for fluoride treatments I paid and I over heard her tell the dental assistant to put the Smiths (not real name) on hold she is calling to check her benefits and there may be a problem. I asked why would you put us on hold I already paid you can refund me if it is a covered benefit. She gave me a surprised look and said I didnt know if you were going to want to be seen. I replied I paid so I think that clearly indicates we want to be seen. Fluoride is a covered benefit and she did not believe me . I had to get something faxed to her and then she did not even know how to read it. She said it is members responsibility to check benefits I said I did it is covered but because she did not know how to read the benefit pages that were emailed to her she was not going to refund me the money. I asked her to call so they would be able to explain it to her she said " that is not my Job" I asked how is it your job to charge me for services you said are non-covered benefits but not your job to check and make sure that they are truly non- covered ? I work for a Health insurance company so I know to call and check Procedure codes the had invalid codes and they were coming up non valid so they were charging me for there mistake. I got a refund but it was such a big hassle and I am now looking for a different dental provider which is terrible because the DR.s are really nice but the representatives in the front do not know what they are doing and they are not nice. They made koolsmiles look bad to everyone that was in the waiting room . I am not going to Take my children there again.

Not only do they suck at appointment times making you wait an hour in half to two hours after your "scheduled appointment", they also try to over charge you. If you have private insurance DO NOT do business with them! Had to get Compass Professional Health Services to see why they were trying to charge me from another location for something that made no sense after my sons surgery. They are giving Compass the run around so they cant get in and see why they first off overcharged my insurance and second are billing me for something that had nothing to do with my sons surgery because it had to be paid all upfront before the surgery was done. I called myself to see why I was billed that amount and the woman that was supposed to answer me kept even giving me the run around. Mr. Gifford is a very sweet man but is working for such an awful company.

Dont plan to return. Scheduling an appointment was a nightmare. I asked for a specific date and was told that every available appointment time before that date had to be offered to me. I did not receive a reminder until 5:30 a.m. the day of the appointment. I arrived with 2 kids with appointments, but only 1 was checked in. I asked if the other child could still be seen 30 minutes later and was told no because I missed the appointment. It is a 120 mile round trip for us and was given an appointment for the next visit without being asked what day or time would be convenient. Daughter was previously seen at a different Kool Smiles location and told her wisdom teeth needed to be pulled because they were ruining the work from orthodontics. She asked at this location and was told to take tylenol and endure it until she turned 18.

If i could put 0 stars I would. We originally went to Resolution dental a branch of kool smiles. the dentist messed up the filling on not only my daughter but my husband aw well. They both now have extreme sensitivity to cold and sweets that was not there before. That office closed without notice and we were directed to kool smiles once i finally got a hold of someone. Today my daughter was to be seen for this improper filling. We arrived early as asked checked in and then nothing. We sat and waited for an hour with no one letting us know what was going on. Not a sorry we are running behind or anything. So I informed them we would be leaving and left. Still not an apology for wasting time, only a I think your next. We walked out and will not be cake to this company in any state.

This Place is a joke! Staff there are lazy and dont do their jobs especially the people upfront.. tried going but supposedly our insurance is inactive..I called the day before to make sure everything was good to go n everything checked out... go to the appointment and waited an hr for them to tell me "they called" and our insurance is not active anyways! I called right after I left and they did not once call the insurance to check (our insurance is active) .. this was the third time they did this to us.. but if it was someone with welfare insurance I am sure they wouldnt have a problem calling and checking.. last time I go there! so 5 star for people with medicaid but 1 star for people with private insurance ...

Wow, so I took my 5 kids there last year to get checkups, well besides waiting a long time to be seen, while they were cleaning my 12 yr olds teeth they cracked his (at one time good tooth) which is now a abscess tooth. So I had to find a new dentist because the dentist is more busy looking at others then looking at her patients teeth. If thats not horrible enough, these people do not get the picture when someone says "We do not want to be seen there anymore", the harassing calls and emails suck!! UGH...THANKS KOOL SMILES for traumatizing my children for good. I will Never take my kids back there or EVER recommend them to anyone!!

The first few times my son went it seemed to take the dentist forever to complete the procedure. He kept leaving the room. This time I believe her name was Dr. Kong, Im not sure though. She was so sweet to my son, she completed all the left over work the first guy didnt and she made sure my son was comfortable at all times. She was very thorough with the whole process. She was done in about an hour. My son was very happy and said he only wanted to see her from now on. Before he did not want to go back again, now he does if he sees her only. Thank you for making his experience pleasant!

NOT IMPRESSED!!! I took my daughter for she had an absese tooth, they put her antibiotics, I took her back after a week of being on the medicine, she was screaming when they tried to take the tooth with the crown out after the first one and she was in alot of pain and crying. I had to talk to the dentist and let her know that if she is screaming and crying then she is alot of pain. I refuse to go back there with her. My daughter is 9yrs old and if she is in pain dont try to take a tooth out when you numb her alot and she still is in pain and all. WORST PLACE DONT GO
