excellent, EXCELLENT staff!!!!! I was in ER yesterday. They turned a bad situation into a pleasant experience. DO NOT; REPEAT, DO NOT enroll in the outpatient therapy classes!! Im bipolar. I was in the classes. It was run like a marine boot camp. Therapists had total power--no questions asked! Tried to make a harmless, innocent joke with Joel. The prima donna got his panties in a knot. Next thing I know Im gettin bumped from class to class. Nobody wants me. Danielle acts like she thinks Im gonna eat her alive! Theyre supposed to be the pros for Gods sake! I told em where to stick it and left. I emailed my insurance company, and said "dont pay these idiots a dime!" I just opened mail from the good folks at Medical Center. It was a bill for $1100 for 2 WEEKS OF ABUSE from Joel, Danielle and the gang! WHAT A BUNCH OF CON ARTISTS! Im madder and in a worse mood now than when I went in! I had eaten lunch today at the hospital. Better prices than restaurants. As usual I couldnt find my car afterwards--bad memory is a symptom of my hydrocephalus. After about 5 minutes a very kind guy offered help. I learned he was a new dad of about 4 or 5 hours. He told me that wife and baby were fine. Im sure he had alot of other things on his mind! Ill bet he had obligations and responsibilities. He was pro- bably tired and stressed. We looked all over that lot with him doin most of the leg work! I dont have a car-finder thatll honk my horn remotely We found my car even- tually. It probably wouldve taken me all day on my own. I never got the mans name or # or any of that. I never have $$$ in my wallet so I couldnt offer that. I had some beans and rice left from my lunch. He said "nah, nah, sir you dont owe me a thing!" I thanked im profusely, but I wanted to do it here, too. He restored my faith in humanity, and I hope hes rewarded many times over!!!!

Okay I give this hospital props, but not to the fullest, okay my son went to 2 different places before here, Baptist ER in orange and Christus Minor Care in Port Arthur, both places could not treat him because there was nothing for them to treat as stated by both facilities, I took him to The Medical Center as a last resort due to not knowing the facility very well, but surprised to find out he had a double ear infection, now tell me how the hell they missed that at the other places? Anyways to the last part of my review, the 2nd time I visited this place my son was presenting symptoms of nausea, vomiting, dehydration and lower abdominal pain, my wife is a nurse and I am a former emt, so we treated him as best as we could with what otc meds we had and did several assessments but still could not find out what was wrong, they had a clue it was a virus, so they drew labs, took xrays and ran fluids per iv, come to find out he was constipated, which caused dehydration and fever, of course we couldnt have known because we dont have an xray machine at home lol, anyways they had messed up on the first xray and had to do another, they charged us for both even though it was their fault for not getting it right the first time, now we owe a 5 grand bill just for them running a bag of fluids, doing 2 xrays even though they screwed one up, and drawing a few labs which they had to stick twice because he moved. With the medical experience we have I wish we could invest in the same technology they have because I couldve done everything they did with the equipment at hand, sorry but for what they did its not worth the price.

On August 24, 2015 around 7:30 pm I brought my 11 month old son to the medical center with a fever of 103+, not eating or drinking, and fussiness. Over the course of 6 hours They swabbed his mouth and nose, took X-rays and drew blood. Around 1:15 am they send us home saying they dont see a reason for his fever and that its normal for babies to get a fever out of the blue. They said nothing came back on the blood work or X-rays. I bring him to his doctor on August 25,2015 at 2 PM because his fussiness had went up more and he could not sleep. I knew it was more then a "fever out of the blue". Automatically I am told that something was in fact seen on the X-rays at the hospital-he has pneumonitis. His ears and throat are red as well (I was told at the hospital there was no redness) possibly with infection. He was prescribed 3 antibiotics right away in less than an hour of his doctor visit. I am in disbelief of the doctors at the Medical Center. The wait and the medical care there are all beyond out of lines for so called "the best medical services of SETX." I am not happy at all with how my son was treated or looked at when I brought him to this facility. And that I was lied to about his condition is beyond wrong and needs to be addressed. More people need to come forward with their bad experiences at this facility, with it being one of the only hospitals in the area. I have heard several bad reveiws by mouth regarding this hospital. Never again will i step foot in this hospital, even if I have to drive to Beaumont, Id rather that then have my life in the hands of incompetent people.

This is 2nd hand info; last evening, a friend undergoing Houston area cancer treatment went to Med Center SE TX emergency room at the direction of the Houston cancer hospital, as their test earlier in the day revealed a blood clot in the lung, and the Houston hospital called him/her and instructed her/him to immediately go to the nearest ER for treatment (so he/she picked Med Center of SE TX instead of Baptist or Christus). My friend arrived at the ER at Med Center SE TX around 6 pm and was not seen until midnight, an incredible SIX HOURS LATER, with a blood clot in his/her lung that his/her Houston cancer hospital deemed to be an emergency. It appeared that people arriving after him/her were being seen and taken care of. My friend stated staff repeatedly lost paperwork during those six hours and even had to repeat a test due to lost paperwork. After all that wait, no hospital admit for lung blood clot, just an injection of anti-clotting med with a supply of the med to take home and inject daily. Hope that lung blood clot does dissolve--how is he/she supposed to know when its gone? He/she hated the staffs demeanor, also. He/she rates the Med Center SE TXs emergency room an "F-." Ive been to Christus St. Elizabeths ER, but never Med Center SE TXs ER. My friend is a honest person, so after learning of his/her experience, I will NOT use this ER. Ill try Baptist or Christus. Hopefully Med Center SE TXs ER in the campus they purchased on Dowlen in Beaumont will be better. Who is in charge of the Med Centers ER, anyway?
