After a decade of not visiting a dentist, I left Dr. Hakims office feeling embarrassed and ashamed about the condition of my teeth. When I expressed this to her, she called me "oversensitive." After she indicated that I was in need of three fillings, I decided to receive a second opinion and learned that I had no cavities. Sealers (significantly simpler, quicker, and less expensive) were the solution for two of my problem areas, while the third "cavity" was non-existent. More frustrating, she threatened to hire an attorney over a measly $34 balance that was unpaid for less than 60 days; one that I was not aware existed. She claimed I was emailed six times, when I was not. If that was the case, and I was unresponsive to emails, why not try a different method of communication? Humorously, Dr. Hakim responds highly unprofessionally to anyone who leaves her a poor review. Instead of taking accountability, apologizing, or clarifying a specific issue, she attacks the reviews conduct and types in all capital letters. Based on her responses to the other negative reviews, she has called former clients pessimistic and dishonest in her response to them. I would not recommend her practice to anyone. However, I love my new dentist, Springhurst Hills Dentistry!

Only took 1 visit and this was my last. This one star is only for the assistant that checked me in. She was friendly. Dr. Hakim was somewhat cold, kind of difficult to understand, and she never really took the time to explain what treatment I needed. Her bedside manners were less than mediocre. Several weeks went by, when I emailed Dr. Hakim requesting a copy of my records. She refused to give them to me, saying it’s not their office policy. But she ended up emailing my x-rays to me, and even that was a hassle. I never ended up receiving a copy of my DENTAL FILE. Even after stopping by the office, & stating that I needed a hard copy of my x-rays because my new dentist needed them, she fussed about how she already emailed them to me. She was unprofessionably rude, and talked over me, in front of her assistant at the front desk. And she belittled her assistant in front of me as well. Nothing good to say about Dr. Azam Hakim. BEWARE. Don’t know why Dr. Hakim feels like she’s entitled to treat people with ugliness. Doesn’t she know they will never refer any of their friends? SAVE YOURSELF.

My wife recently had dental work done by Dr. Hakim. Rita was sent to an endodontist by Dr hakim who was exceptional as well. Dr hakim replaced 2 crowns and did so beautifully. Her work appears to be flawless and relieved considerable pain my wife was experiencing. Rita will continue to have more work done by Dr Hakim that needs to be done. There is a difference between Dr Hakims work and that of 2 former dentists. She has additional education and it shows in her work. She also saw Rita quickly due to the issues she was having and moved the treatment along nicely. We are grateful for the help she provided in resolving problems. Rita says she is straight-forward and professional which she likes. Dr Hakim was kind and very cognizant of any discomfort you might be experiencing. She was very concerned and tried to ensure you experienced the least discomfort possible. More importantly Rita trusts her based on this experience and I have an appt scheduled with her myself. Ritas outcome was lovely.

Dr. Azam Hakim is the most fantastic dentist you will ever find. I have been to many dentist, good and bad. I had such a bad experience with one years ago I just gave up on going to the dentist. I was having problems with my teeth and knew I was going to have to find one. I was so worried about it I did my research on line with the reviews. I had teeth that were falling out. I had some that were loose and would have pain every once in a while. It had gotten to the point I wouldnt even smile anymore. They were in terrible shape. I cant thank Dr. Hakim enough. I have a beautiful smile. She worked wonders for me. Its going to be a HOLLYWOOD SMILE by the time she is done. I cant say enough about this dental practice. If I lived out of town, I would fly back to have Dr. Hakim do my dental work. If your looking for a dentist LOOK NO MORE. You will be so happy you found her. She is a miracle worker.

Dr. Hakim is the best in Louisville. If not the entire state! After years of dental nightmares (seriously I hate going in, even for a cleaning) and multiple dentists over the years I finally feel like Ive found a dentist I can trust. Dr. Hakim is not only professional shes changed the way I think about Doctors. She takes her skills to next level and always makes sure every procedure whether small or large is done to the utmost perfection. Ive not only recommended my family but my friends to see her! which in my case even talking about a dentist (without grimacing) is a miracle.. Leaving a review - well, thats just unreal. I highly recommend her services - Big or small.

I was thrilled to meet Dr. Hakim and discuss all my dental issues with her. I had many problems especially with my implants and they were almost unsolvable. Dr. Hakim had me get all my dental records to review and she continued to work on my problems. In fact,I kept her up at night pondering my many problems. Dr. Hakim, working very closely with all associates was able to take of my biggest problem and now I am back to teaching. I am not finished yet with all my dental needs but I cant see myself ever not being a patient of Dr, Hakim. Such caring from Dr. Hakim and her lovely staff. My daughter told Dr. Hakim that she would forever remain in our hearts.

Refused service. I didnt wanted to disclose my SSN over the phone. Thats just correct. You dont share such information to an employee over the phone and not knowing how she, Courtney, is going to use or abuse it, and telling you that they want to make sure they get paid somehow!! This is insulting, and absolutely unacceptable. My credit limit is possibly more than her whole year salary. I asked to talk to a manager or supervisor, and she said there is no one else there! The dentist herself called me later, but I had made another arrangement elsewhere. A lot of good dentists in Lou who respect you and treat you well deserved.

Dr. Hakim is a highly skilled dentist who provides routine dental care as well as cosmetic and restorative dentistry. In addition to routine dental care, Dr. Hakim successfully treated me for TMJ/teeth grinding, restored my smile with beautiful crowns when I had an accident that knocked my front teeth out and has provided other routine care since she opened her practice about 8 years ago. Her staff are professional,courteous and welcoming and services are provided on time with minimal wait time. I have always highly recommended Dr. Hakim and feel fortunate that I have benefited from her highly skilled services.

As a physician who always tries to do as much for my Patients as possible, I can be a tough critic of health care providers who dont appear to be doing the same for their Patients. However, I must say, all of my expectations have been exceeded by Dr. Hakim. Her oral health fund of knowledge and procedural technique were excellent. Most effective and tolerable local anesthetic injection I have ever had. Wonderful attention to detail. As others have mentioned, made astute observations that other dentists had overlooked. Patient centered care. Overall, impressive and highly recommended.
