I have had horrible dental experiences throughout my life. The first was a dentist cutting my tongue so badly that I required gauze for an entire day. The second was during IV sedation. The doctors were rude, used fowl language, and were extremely rough. All of these things have hindered me from practicing oral self care. I have put off my dental hygiene for years because of these experiences. I bit into an apple yesterday and one of my teeth broke in half. This was it, I had to go to a dentist. Im so happy to say that I tried Baldwin Family Dental. I was kindly greeted on the phone by the office manager. She assured me that I was in good hands and made a quick appointment for me. We decided to do a cleaning and consultation so I could get a feel for the place and get a diagnosis. On the day of the appointment, I went in and was greeted by my new dental hygienist, Leah. She was as sweet as sugar. She sat down with me before we even started and I explained my phobias to her. (X-rays, gagging, scraping, etc.) She listened and didnt even try to talk me into getting bite wing x-rays. It was the first time I actually felt appreciated and that someone had listened to me. She cleaned my teeth and kept away from my tongue like I asked her to. She was easy to talk to and helped me breathe through the entire appointment. Then came Dr. Waheed. What a nice man and so professional! He sat down and talked to me about my history WITHOUT making faces, judging, or being rude. His bedside manner was impeccable. He told me that he wanted to look at my teeth next and he said if I ever felt discomfort to raise my hand and he would stop. He also kept away from my tongue and was extremely gentle. I cant begin to tell you how relieved I am to have found such an amazing dentist and dental hygienist. The entire office vibe was so relaxing and calming. It was clean and everyone was smiling. If you are looking for a dentist or you are at all apprehensive about going to a dentist, I urge you to make an appointment at Baldwin Family Dental. Dont let your dental hygiene suffer because you havent found the right people. They are the right people and will take excellent care of you. They will be patient with you and listen to you. I cant wait to go back in 6 months for my cleaning! Ive never said that before. :) BALDWIN FAMILY DENTAL ROCKS!!!!!

First of all Id like to say that the Dentist and the Hygienists were all courteous. The financial bookkeeper not so much. I was told I needed a bridge (in order to fix a tooth that was missing due to the negligence of a previous dentist). I had two dental insurances and I told the ladies that were doing my estimate that I needed a firm price as I may not be able to afford it. Well, AFTER the two insurances paid I was told I would have to pay $500.00. I really could not afford that, but I agreed to it. I get the work done, then low and behold here comes a bill from the Baldwin Dental that tells me I owe an ADDITIONAL $500.00. I told them I did not have the money for that and that I would not have gotten that bridge done as I could barely scrape together the $500.00 and did not have another $500.00. They threatened me AND my husband (who had never been to this dentist) with collection agencies and bad reports on our credit reports. Constant harrassment. I paid it in full as soon as I could, but it caused a devastating financial situation for us at that time. By the way, I asked if we could work something out since after all it was THEIR error that caused me to have to pay twice as much as I was told, they would not take one penny off the $500.00 extra dollars. A few weeks after this, I see they build a beautiful new building down the street a little ways. I dont mind anyone being successful, but when they are unwilling to help someone out even a little bit after I have had extensive work done there and thousands of my and my two insurance companies money, they could not have cared less about me, their patient. And if all this were not bad enough, this bridge that cost me an arm and a leg is now loose. I dont trust them any more and now have to find another dentist which I hate doing. So, BEWARE, this Dentist not only charges you way over what they tell you, their work SUCKS.

Going to dentist now and days is a hard work first it is painful and second it is expensive. I have always been afraid of dentist but we all have to go if we dont want rotten teeth. I been going to Baldwin Dental for years but this last time i had horrible experience. I went in and Dr. Waheed fixed about 4 cavities i think with my insurance it cost about 225 dollars out of my pocket... the next day i still felt discomfort and pain but did not think anything of it so i went back home to Gainesville because i attend University of Florida. That whole following week i was in pain everything i ate felt like i was biting into a nerve so i called Baldwin Dental and receptionist told me this was not okay that i should come back, i told her that i cannot because i have classes everyday so she told me to find doctor in Gainesville and that they will send their stuff over. I found dentist in Gainesville ,she wanted her own x-rays because she wanted to see for herself what was going on. My insurance covers one x-ray per year so this one i had to pay out of my pocket. She fixed my pain and on that same side fixed about 2 more cavities and then she found 7 more and a tooth that needs a crown. This cost me 340 dollars out of my pocket. I called Baldwin Dental to ask how this is possible and i was told that the doctor will look it over. In the mean time i have received a bill from Baldwin Dental for 83 more dollars not to mention the fact that the bill was already 30 days delinquent the day i received it

I have been going to Dr. Waheed for 6 yrs. Now. I have TMJ disorder Wich I have worn a night guard for quite sometime now due to the fact I grind my teeth terribly wich although is helpful isnt enough for me because I grind my teeth 24-7.When I went to Dr. Waheed for my regular cleaning in Dec. 2016 Dr. Waheed noticed my gum recession was getting worse from all that grinding of my teeth. He suggested injecting my jaw muscles with botox which he does right at his office in less than 5 min. Which would then relax my jaw muscles so I would not be causing further damage to my teeth & gums. Even though I am not new to botox having had it injected several times before in other areas of my facial muscles I still was a little sceptical about having it injected into my jaw muscles. Always trusting Dr. Waheeds judgement I decided to get the injections WOW!!!! wish I would have done this a lot sooner the out come is amazing I could feel the relief from my teeth & Jaws within a couple of days. I know my teeth and gums are much happier. I dont even grind my teeth anymore so please dont wait like me if you suffer from TMJ problems go see Dr. Waheed right away let him help you like he helped me!!!! Thanks Dr. Waheed
