I was suffering from chronic pain when I went to the Utah Spine Institute in search of help. There program and therapies all seem reasonable, but nothing you can not do at home. The reason I rate them one star has nothing to do with their program. Although I think you can get better results from an inversion table then from their cheap traction tables. Anyway, the reason they get one star is their billing is basically blackmail. They force you to sign up for a year (actually the time is not defined in their contract) with $3000 out of pocket. If you do not sign up then they threaten to bill you huge amounts for the 1 or 2 visits you had over the initial free visits. Not to mention, and you wont believe this, everytime you mention to the doctor that you would like to have a shorter contract he tells you to just leave the practice and "maybe surgery is your best option". In other words, it is his way or hell fire and he really hopes that if you dont go through him that you end up in surgery. Now that I have learned more than this place will ever teach you, I can tell you that statements like that from a medical provider are negligible beyond any sort. The reason he signs you up for a year is because 90% of back pain dissipates with in a year. As for their therapies, I would have to say walking around the block and using an inversion table would be 10 times better and 10 times cheaper.

I know Dr. Lee and his practice and he doesnt have any type of yearly contracts, nor does he make comments like the ones posted. He is extremely kind and honest with his patients and would never mislead them. I think these people are confused with another office that bears a similar name.

Dr. Lee is a very deceptive chiropractor. His office called acting like it was an orthopedic office. Nowhere does it state that he is a chiropractor and he conveniently has no business cards indicating he is a chiropractor. Watch out. They do not take insurance.
