I highly dislike going to the dentist, and have had bad experiences before, but this guy and his team are awesome!!! From the beginning, they make you feel very comfortable, and inform you on everything they are doing and give you all of your treatment details so you know exactly whats going on at all times. The dentist and his work ethic is actually super impressive because he sees multiple people at the same time, and yet makes you feel like you are taken care of timely and with great care. He pulled both of my wisdom teeth out in like 5 minutes. He did my root canal, and has fixed many other items I was struggling with that I havent been able to have the best treatment for with my prior dentists. You can tell that he really knows what he is doing, and enjoys his work, because he is always so nice and pleasant to meet with. I have recommended him to multiple family members, friends, and co-workers. ***I read a comment below from a lady who is displeased with him seeing multiple people-news flash lady, all dentists do that. Also, your comment about a seasoned dentist is highly inappropriate. Making "age" remarks is something called age discrimination and that is NOT ok. Hopefully you have found someone new to bother with your opinions, because this guy and his staff rule!

I called today to try to get appointment for my roommate who had a terrible abscess draining in her mouth and in so much pain I came across a receptionist answered the phone and when I told her I didnt have enough money for the extraction it was $300 just to see a dentist and get it pulled with no payment options she was smug snide and rude very very mean voice she said so sorry to hear that have a good day. very very very condescending to the point brought tears to my eyes Literally it was like she didnt have time for me any further simply because my roommate is uninsured Technically she is insured but only by the state of California its sad that you call for help on emergency basis and get talked to that way Talked to like your pain and you as a human being dont matter by a receptionist who doesnt Show any compassion what so ever She didnt even stay on the phone to give me any help directing me if somewhere else to al the very least call and try to get help . She cares so little about people and potential future patients that she should not be allowed to work in this field . Even when she has insurance which is very soon she will go to a different dentist. Dont go here for any reason not if you care about yourself or your loved ones

This place is Amazing! The best dentist I have ever been to! Dr Carters bed side manner makes me so comfortable! After 10 years of avoiding the dentist I went to Salt Lake Dental for a basic cleaning. I knew I had some broken teeth. The Salt Lake Dental staff was great. They took pictures of my teeth so Dr Carter could go over treatment options with me. When Dr Carter came into the room he had such a nice smile and was dressed professsionally it put me at ease. He showed me on the computer what the options were telling me what he would do if it were his own family, which I felt like family being there!! I knew I had problems but the pictures brought them to light. Dr Carter had an opening so I took advantage of it. The front desk dark haired lady was so nice and knowledgeable about my insurance and gave me my options (unlike other places I have been to thus the 10 year hiatus) I choose the best option that fit my budget and my desired outcome. I then proceeded to the doctors side and had some root canals and teeth extracted painlessly! MY TEETH FEEL SO GREAT, and I can chew again without breaking the bank! Thank you salt lake dental!!!

This was quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist. My wife and I received a flyer in the mail advertising a $50 gift card if we paid $69 for a Cleaning, X-ray, and Exam. My wife doesnt have insurance so this was a great deal for us. We went in and ran into trouble really quickly. The dental assistant was incredibly inexperienced, she used a fluoride treatment first and managed to cut my wife every time she began scrapping. The X-Rays didnt capture the teeth and the dentist himself spent only two minutes with my wife before moving on. At the end of the appointment (we still dont know if she has cavities and her teeth still arent much cleaner) they refused to give us the $50 gift card because my wife doesnt have insurance. It does not say that she must have insurance on the flyer, nor did the secretary tell us that having insurance was a requirement for the promotion. She openly admitted that it was her mistake and was unwilling to remedy it in any way. It was a case of false advertisement. We wont be going back. I dont recommend going to this place if you are about working with honest professionals.

Dr. Carter and his staff have been so great to me and my family. We live in Centerville but drive down to them for ALL of our dental needs! We first came to them because my son had tons of pain from his wisdom teeth on a Fri night and they were the only ones open on a Sat who would get us in that afternoon. We didnt have dental insurance and they offered us a discounted package deal for cleanings 2x a year and discounts off of other services needed. We get all our cleanings, cavity fillings and cosmetic needs done here. I had Dr. C replace my veneers on my top front teeth, which look amazing! They lazer whitened my bottom teeth with a new technique, to match my brand new pearly white, better shaped veneers. My son and I both have insurance now, but still make the longer drive to go to SL dental because they are so friendly and helpful and are like family now. I absolutely love Wendy, Dr. Carters wife, she knows us by name and treats us like friends, so excited to see us every time we come in. We couldnt be treated better anywhere else! I highly recommend them!

Dr. Carter and is team are excellent! I recently moved here from out of state, and was recommended to Salt Lake Dental by a co-worker who spoke very highly of the office. My first visit was for a teeth cleaning- scheduling was very easy (I was able to get in for an appointment within the week), receptionists were friendly and knowledgable, as was the hygienist cleaning my teeth. During this appointment, Dr. Carter concluded I should get my wisdom teeth out sooner than later (im 25 and still had all 4). His team was incredibly accommodating, and able to get me in 2 weeks later- before the end of the year! My second appointment for my wisdom teeth- I was TERRIFIED! I was able to get in on a Saturday morning at 8 AM. Dr. Carter and team put my nerves at ease, and explained the process as they were numbing my mouth / about to pull the teeth. ALSO- I got to lay in a slightly massaging chair, and watch planet earth on the overhead tv. All 4 of my wisdom teeth were out in 30 minutes! Painless, easy procedure. Thankful for Dr. Carter and the rest of the talented staff.
