Do not take your pet here I newly moved to nova in April Someone recommitted me while they take their pet somewhere else Olderly vet Dr look like witch was not nice snd keep on adding many check up including hood test and call ray and lot more I told her that I can not afford $600 plus bill. Do she did partial work and next day she called me threatened me as if I dont do rest of the work I am cruel and will report me somewhere In fact she pressured and yelled at me New to the city, not having enough funds Finaly I ask them if they can hold my check for few days Vet suggested me talk to her employee and employee agreed I brought my cat who is still not eating cat food but baby food being only 13 yrs old, drinking a lot and urinating a lot with hyperthoide and constipation issue. After all exams, she said she could not find anything and I started getting coupons via email non stop to hit their food 50% off. Next day I called to ask why my cat dress making and urinating a lot if no problem? She said she is compansating by drinking lots of water. What is that mean? Does she have kidney issue? No response I took my cat many places in richmond where I moved from but sound like vet places I came across they all are scamming innocent people like me and keep on asking to visit them but result is zero and no problem This is billion dollar industry just like Chinese massage places They know you are single and can not live without your pet Thats all I am not sure how they get license to run their business including SPCA VET CALLED ALL MY PET CLINIC SND VERY ANGRY SAYING YOU DID NOT PAY VET CLINIC ONCE FIRST OF ALL MO ONE SHOULD SLANDER ANY PATIENT NAME SECOND NO ONE KNOWS ALL FACTS THIRD OLD BET TRYING TOBYELL HER TO BE CAREFUL FROM ME AS SHE MIGHT DO THE SAME. This Vet was very rude and praising all of my vet in the past I will suggest everyone not to have pet And if you do take some classes to know how to take care of your own pet And you f you come across anyone like this vet trying to scam you and result is positive that means she do not know what she is doing and working there to sell her pet food for 50% off to get rich I wish someone can take these kids NS of vet to court and file class action law suit for not t knowing what they are doing and scammer nag innocent like me and you Money doesnt grow in tree specially not mine May be Vet dr like her.

I would suggest taking your dog somewhere else if you care anything about your pet. My dog was taken there to be looked at after throwing up, we were told to leave him for observation, then told later in the morning he had died. Their autopsy said that he was healthy and could not find any reason he had passed. Negligence anyone? So I get the bill. X Dollars. No explanation of services. On BRIGHT BRIGHT TANGERINE ORANGE Paper... like I didnt need more to remind me of the loss of a friend and family member, right? I had to call and ask what the bill was for since it wasnt mentioned. Services rendered. But, they think they are sympathetic by not charging me for the necropsy and paying for the autopsy... but charging me for the visit! they make it sound like they are doing me a favor by paying for the autopsy... youd think that theyd want to know how he had died. On top of losing a dog of 15 years, this sympathetic vet sends BRIGHT orange and PINK bills to collect my money! After several calls to them to dispute this bill they are TRYING to collect it has gone to a collection agency. Now Ive contacted several animal rights places and an attorney about them. Its not the $300 bill. Its the principal of a dog dying under negligent care and negligent advice. Oh, so I also get a letter from UoV about how a donation was given to them in my Dogs name from this clinic... yippity-f***ing-do! If you care anything about your animal, try, please go somewhere else. Why gamble and take the chance that this might be your friend.

This place does not care about your pets or about owner input at all. My senior cat has hyperthyroidism. My husband I came to the appointment specifically saying to the vet that we were comfortable monitoring our cats condition (as my husband is a doctor and I worked for years in clinical pathology) and are aware of the clinical presentation of the disease and associated symptoms and that we DID NOT want to have to bring him in every few weeks for continuous blood work. We believe that clinical thresholds are not as indicative of health as presentation of symptoms (which yes, the owner if more likely to notice). We were very clear about this, very upfront. We even offered to sign an "against medical advice" agreement stating that we take responsibility for the decision to forgo constant blood draws and any associated repercussions! We were very reasonable and straightforward. A different vet calls a couple days later saying that unless we bring in our 15 year old cat for more (expensive) blood tests, that they will not refill his medicine.... how cruel and callous is that? To place an old animals life in danger unless you agree to drag them in whenever they demand, shell out a hundred bucks or more at a time, stressing the cat out needlessly I might add.... more than ridiculous, I call it unethical.

I went to them w/out an appointment after the vet I had been seeing gave us VERY bad service. They immediately saw me and helped my dog. We have been going there just over a year. They always have appointments available, even same day. They seem to care for my dogs and are nice, even when I got a bad attitude about the price of a procedure. Today I needed my dogs records faxed to a boarding facility and they did so within 3 minutes! Im pleased with them and will continue to use them.

Weve been bringing our two cats to Colonial since we got them almost eleven years ago. Theyve been seen by all five vets (two founders who have since retired and three current vets) and weve always received good, friendly service from the staff and good advice and care from the vets. On the rare occasion an issue has occurred (a suspect test result from an outside lab, for example) it has been handled well and with the health of our cats as the primary concern.

Walk into this animal hospital and it is a warm and welcoming environment with a nice sized lobby. The vets are great to work with and take time to understand the customers concerns. We have worked with them on behavior cases and have been invited to meet with their staff to chat about best practices in dog training and behavior. Yes! they care that much. Thumbs up for Colonial Animal Hospital.

We have been using these wonderful doctors and staff for years. Our first cat blessed us with 21 years of love and fun. Now our second cat is 15.5 years. He is also blessing us daily. The doctors and staff are so gentle and kind. One of the staffers actually hugged my cat when he was getting a blood test. I will never go anywhere else!!!!!!
