If I could give a ZERO I would. Any parent please be warned of this doctor. My wife took my 4 year old boy for his annual shots. There is like 5 shots that the little boy took and he took them well. So this doctor comes breezing in for 2-5 minutes after. Was it to follow up on my trooper of a son? Was it to offer him consolation and kudos? Nope. It was - honest to God I cant make this up- for this doctor to ask my son if he was a Democrat or a Republican. No kidding. She asked my boy if he knew who president Obama was then proceeded to instruct my son that the president always has our interest at heart because he is a proponent of these shots and says that if my son didnt like it than he must be a republican. I kid you not. But that wasnt even the worst most unprofessional part - as my confused son is tearing up she proceeds to pull staff aside right outside the room and laugh with great pride at what she did. If I could report her to the AMA I would. Its appalling that she is allowed to work on children. Please accept this as a public service announcement.

This had potential to be a very wonderful experience despite the fact that I felt that as soon as I stepped into the elevator, I was going into a time machine back into the early 80s with rusty old scales, furniture, PAPER CHARTS! Not to mention poor customer service, the physicians inability to listen to the patient or family and just over all rudeness of staff. When asked a question, upon answering I was rudely interrupted and the physician (who mind you, had no other patients waiting and in fact we were the 3rd for the day and it was almost noon), said to me: "I dont care about that"! It was by far the worst experience I have ever had, comparable with the Kaiser experience in the early late 80s/90s, and I have been in the healthcare industry for over 15 years. I would never subject my family to that again, especially a sick child. They are obsessed with vaccines (money makers) and could care less about what we were actually there for (acute illness). Save yourself the co-pay and experience. Sorry, you need to get your act together.

They have been nothing but amazing with my child. Mayergoyz is a professional and absolutely wonderful, shes informative and does care. theyve always sought ways to help at any given time and theyre always willing to make time for us, even when its last minute they would make an attempt to bring you in as soon as possible. i wouldnt have asked for better pediatricians for my child. Their staff is kind and really give you a sense of warmth, they remember my kid and ask on how shes doing which is really considerate. i dont feel like just a number to them and thats something you just cant beat.

I started going to the practice in 1998 on recommendation of a veteran nurse at Inova Fairfax. Dr. Shernock is awesome. She is straight forward, honest, and most importantly, humble. She will be the first to tell you that she was wrong. about anything. She is very kind, thorough, and conscientious. We moved out of the area four years ago, and have been through several pediatricians. Still looking , but have not found a practice that compares! #RN
