Would not go back to this vet. They are the most uncompassionate vets I have ever dealt with. They could have killed my gsd and her puppies. When my gsd was whelping and started having problems I rushed her to Abshier-Meuth. Well, we got there around 3:00 pm and after waiting 1/2 hour to even see the vet they finally checked her out and gave her a shot of Oxytocin and said we would wait about 45 minutes and if she didnt start having pups then they would give her another shot. Another 45 minutes no pups so they gave her another shot. She is in a lot of pain from the Oxytocin and on top of that the Vet started trying to pull one of the puppies out because she said it was turned wrong and she felt of it and said she was pretty sure it was dead. She kept pulling and pulling on its little feet and finally stops and says "well I better quit before I pull its feet off" OMG, I said yes please stop! Then she told us that if the meds didnt work after the 2nd round of shots then they would have to do a C-section so are we waiting and by now have been there over 2 hours and then closing time came around and all of a sudden the vet says "sorry but your going to have to go somewhere else now because we are closing and I cant keep anyone overtime"... REALLY??? Just like that and my dog is in so much pain now after having two shots of Oxytocin and her pulling and pulling on the pup now we have to load her up and take her somewhere else. NEVER did the vet tell us that they would not be able to do this C-section if closing time came they just kept us there to make there $$$ and then want to send us away. So we started calling other vets and of course by this time their all closed so they sent us all the way to Pasadena to an emergency clinic and on the way she had one puppy in the car luckily it was in good health. We got to that clinic and since she had one puppy already they felt like she could most likely have the others now so this vet ended up sending us home saying that the puppies should deliver now so go home and get her comfortable. So home we went then another hour still no more puppies. By now its 10:30pm so called Big Thicket in Cleveland and the Vet there actually met us at the clinic and did an emergency C-section. We were very, very lucky that the Mom or any of the pups even survived after waiting all this time after being sent away by Abshire-Meuth and if not for Big Thicket they would not have survived. A huge Thank you to Big Thicket my 5 pups are now 13 weeks old and are doing great! No thanks to Abshire-Meuth. Oh and the pup that the Vet was trying so hard to pull out was alive and well and thank goodness she didnt "pull his little feet off" as she put it. • • •

Money hungry maggots!!!! Please if you care about your pet at all do yourself and your pet a huge justice and do NOT give your pet a very definite death sentence by taking them to this heartless greedy group of people. My daughter scraped and begged every penny she could from all of our family members and emptied out every cent in her savings because these punks lied to her telling her after they had done an ultrasound, that her baby had a small bleeding tumor on her spleen that they would be able to remove but because of the internal bleeding caused by the tumor but oh wait, according to them shell actually end up needing a total of 2 transfusions because they wouldnt be able to get around to doing the operation to remove the tumor that she would have to have if she was going to survive until sometime Friday which was almost 3 days away and that by that time she would need another transfusion so with the 2 transfusions and the surgery it would only cost her a small fee of $3,500. Which for an 18 yr old, even tho shes a very hard working young lady they may as well have told her itd be a million dollars, but she loves this dog so much she did everything she could and she was able to gather the money they were requesting in matter of about an hour and they had her pay them a down payment upfront before they would even send the other vet the order for the 1st transfusion because they werent even equipted to do that at their facility so she paid them and they of course couldnt take the money from her quick enough knowing the entire time that her poor baby girl had no chance of pulling thru the extreamly aggressive cancer they had to have without a doubt known she had because after taking her baby girl to the vet they referred her to for the transfusion the staff there asked if they could do an exam and do another ultrasound to which she of course did agree. Sadly they delivered the heart breaking news that her baby girl was full of tumors, and they actually took the time to show her the ultrasound and were kind and cating enough to tell her that even with the tranfusions and surgery she was just so far gone that shed never be able to pull thru.Of course the greedy maggots at abshier-meuth conveniently left all of this information out when they were taking her money. So please people do not take your pets here unless you just want these heartless greedy maggots to take your money and NOT care for you or your pets.

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING DRS & STAFF!!!! This has the BEST Drs and staff of any veterinarian I have had prior experience with, in my 18 years in the Baytown area. They TRULY do care about our fur babies as much as we do. I was a complete mess when I took my grand pup this morning and Dr Abshier took his time to reassure me she was in excellent hands and that he would take very good care of her. They took my sons puppy in for emergency, exploratory surgery and were texting me updates DURING the surgery because they knew how worried I was about her. They even sent me pics via text with the NERF FOOTBALL they removed from her stomach this morning. My sons dog is going to be fine...all thanks to Dr Abshier and his amazing staff!!!! They not only took great care of my grand pup BUT also excellent care of this worried "grandma". Outstanding!!!!!!

It was my first time bringing my baby Hype to the vet I had him for about a year I rescued him from a neighbor that was not taking care of him I was kind of nervous because I didnt kno wat to look for in a vet or how the visit should go but they was very kind and they made sure I understood everything that was going on they also made sure all my concerns and questions was met and answered I didnt kno much going into the visit but I learned a lot and also they didnt pursue me into buying nothing I never once felt like I was doing something wrong by declining some offers also the price of the visit was very reasonable I will be going back Thank you to all the staff members for a wonderful and pleasant visit we will be seeing you all soon
