Dr Sahni and Dr Zarse are an excellent, compassionate team!! My spouse had gone back and forth with our Primary Care doctor and PT thinking the pain and problems were Sciatica. We tried all the exercises and physical therapy but,to no avail, we finally said enough, we need an MRI! We got one and was promptly referred to Dr Sahni of Spine and Pain of Texas. Dr Sahni very quickly and methodically found that my spouses symptoms were similar to Sciatica, but the MRI revealed possible nerve damage at L4/5 due to L4/5 being compressed, it was not Sciatica! Dr Sahni set up a series of shots to alleviate the swelling that was pressing on the nerve, but they were not working. Dr Sahni then immediately arranged for a nerve test to check on how the nerves were performing as the MRI showed potential nerve damage. Unfortunately, nerve damage was there and to stop it from continuing, surgery was unavoidable. Surgery was discussed on a Friday and performed on Wednesday the following week. He is greatly concerned about the patient having a productive life out of pain and it showed in everything he did and continues to do. We are so Blessed to have found these doctors! Back surgery IS intimidating but Dr Sahni put us at ease, not by words, although he has excellent bedside manners, but through his actions.

Sanhi is special. A throwback to Doctors who care more about the well being of the patients seen in a day versus the number of patients pushed through the turnstile in a day. Hes young enough to be trained in the latest technology and techniques, yet experienced enough to know best treatments. And yes, you may wait a bit, but do know when you get face-t-face with Irvin, you will be the most invaluable patient in his world to him. What a treat. I cant recommend him highly enough.

If you are looking for a doctor who cares more about your pocket book than your pain, Dr. Sahni is for you. Also be prepared for your wait time to be at least three or four times longer than your actual one-on-one time with him.
