Called to schedule and appointment for a routine PRENATAL checkup. Appointment schedule and all insurance information was given to office personnel. When I arrived to the office I waited 45 minutes to be told that my insurance is "VERY LIMITED". I am a healthcare professional and I understand what my responsibilities are regarding copays. The staff spoke to me as if I were naive and dumb. I did explain to her that I did verify coverage before coming to the office and obviously they did not. She told me that because my policy was very limited that I had to pay a 500 dollar deposit for the hospital delivery. I was very confused because we are only eight weeks pregnant and not getting ready to deliver. She then informed me to apply for Medicaid to supplement my insurance coverage. The appointment with Dr. Spruiell we have been anticipating for two weeks did not happen due to his incompetent staff!!!!!!!

Way to communicate with your patients Doctor Spruiell! The young woman who is carrying our grandchild was recently spoken down to in a most uncaring manner by this so called award winning, caring physician. And God forbid if you happen to speak your mind to this MD regarding his shortcomings as this patients mother elected to do, for you will then be cast aside like yesterdays salad. If you choose to follow the words of anyone who bows to his experience as seen in any "5-star" commentary heretofore written (as it was probably written by Dr Spruiell himself anyway), all I can say is BUYER BEWARE! Do not disagree with this doctor, lest you be banished from his care ... but then again, maybe thats not such a bad thing after all. New item to add to my "what to buy if I won the Lotto" list: Buy this obstetrics/gynecology practice and fire Dr Spruiell.

Although the Staff was very nice and Cathy was very nice I was a bit upset that I did not see the Doctor. This is the first time I have ever seen a Nurse practitioner and had not had a physical in 5 years which they were aware of and completely expected to see Dr Spruiell. That is why I called them in the first place. The other office I called let me know I would not be seeing the Doctor. I was informed when there that the Doctors are not taking any more patients and I would be seeing the Nurse Practitioner. It seems nowadays we are not allowed to see the Doctors any more. If I am not able to see the real Doctor I may be going some where else next year. I do again want to say that the Staff was very nice and also Cathy the Nurse Practitioner was very helpful. I received great care.

Hands down he and his partner are the best OB/GYN out there. Prior to coming to him, i had a terrible experience with Dr.Steven Miller . The only reason i went to Dr. Miller is because I had tricare prime, and I lost all faith in doctors after my experience with him. Once i switch to Tricare standard I went to Dr. Spruiell. I love love love him and his staff. They made me believe there are doctors out there that care about their patients more tha money. They made me feel so comfortable and like they truly cared about me as a patient. I have never had such a great experience with any doctors. I truly recommend his services.

Have been seeing this practice for 10 years and have had no problems whatsoever. The nurses are very nice (they do my paps) and service has always been fairly quick to get you in. Cannot attest to pregnancy treatment since Ive not seen them for that but overall I like the place. I see most complaints are about dr spruill himself. Id like to add that I have never had an appointment with him. Only detractors is that offices are a little run down.could use some paint and new ceiling tiles; yes you notice those ;)

I recently left the area and cannot see Miss (Judy) Jackson any longer. :-( I had great results with the staff there, great interactions with Miss Jackson, and although I never saw either of the physicians in the practice, a nurse-friend of mine (with very high standards) had referred me to them -- with me electing to see the nurse practitioner, Ms. Jackson, for several years and feeling quite pleased with her professionalism, friendliness, skill level, etc. I would recommend them to anyone!!!

They have delivered my last three children....one recently 1/6/15. Great practice, caring staff.....only negative is that I wanted my tubes tied in the hospital and they advised that they dont do that unless you have a c-section (which I didnt)...the follow-up schedule never happened, and now Im pregnant again. Not their fault, but it would have been nice to be treated with the same care as when I was expecting.....and after I delivered. Anywho....I still like them overall.

Really liked the Dr.. then I had an appointment where he showed no sympathy or understanding towards my pregnancy symptoms.. He recomended I see a specialist yet his nurse had sent me to one my first appointment 4 weeks prior. I called to check on my next appt date and found out I was pushed to a different practice and no one would have told me if I hadnt called.. I would not recomend anyone see this Dr!
