I'm not sure what people are looking for in a derm that this place isn't giving but I think they're really good. I've gone in for myself and my young daughter (whose skin baffled all pediatricians but Dr Allison glanced and knew immediately and the very easy treatment and prevention plan was spot on!). I have called from across the US on vacation and they've called in a prescription even though we've not been in for over a year without requiring followup (rare in the "money hungry" medical field). My insurance covers services here so I'm not sure on cost but ultimately, you as the patient and consumer are responsible for investigating cost and coverage - pushing that off on the doc office and being peeved at THEM that you didn't do your homework is immature and ridiculous. Often longer waits for appt scheduling is my only complaint but that shows that the reviews below here are in the minority.

Dr. Hughes is a fabulous dermatologist. Yes, occasionally her office runs late but that can happen if a previous patient is more complicated than expected. As for the cost. You are not paying for srapping off some lesion you are paying for her expertise and the 15 years it took her to learn what lesions need to be removed, how to remove it safely and to have a pathologist examine it. Get serious, Im sure youd pay that amount to have something removed from your dog without hesitation. She is extremely knowledgeable and very personable.

This is a fabulous place to get comprehensive skin evaluations, complicated skin treatment, pediatric and geriatriac skin concerns. Dr. Hughes is quick to give samples for trials as dermatologic medications are expensive. I am more interested in the indepth knowledge, thoroughness, and a warm welcome given at this clinic than the typical rushed dermatology places. I have worked in medical clinics and dermatology can book patients every 10 minutes which is unrealistic. This place is well worth a visit.

I have been going to Dr. Allison Hughes for the last 4.5 years on the recommendation of my primary doctor. She is very carrying, knowledgeable and her stuff are very welcoming. I see her yearly and take care of problems as they arise. Now I also see another team member - Diane (Master Esthetician) and she is wonderful also. Very knowledgeable, carrying and personable.

I recently brought my 10 year old daughter for a painful skin condition on her foot. My daughter was very nervous about the appointment. All the staff were amazing, sensed how nervous my daughter was and immediately put her at ease. EVERYONE at MI Dermatology is an absolute delight. What a refreshing experience. I cant recommend them enough!

Are EXTREMELY slow. Was 10min early for my appointment and they still didnt take me back until 20min after my scheduled appointment, then kept me waiting another 20-25min in the room. This was on top of losing my paperwork. They have something to learn about how to run a business, i will not be coming back.

Dr. Hughes cleared up my adult acne within a couple of months of seeing her and helped remove the scars. If covered by your insurance it is a great office. The doctor is very friendly, but the staff can be a bit cold. Would definitely recommend to anyone with difficult skin issues!

This was the best trip to see the dermatologist ever! Allison was so nice and easy to talk to about my skin concerns. Her staff was so friendly and her office is so pleasant and clean. Location is easy to find and they are great about working with your schedule.
