I have been a patient in this practice for years. I am very impressed w Dr. P. Kim- Auns local anesthesia skills. I have had dental visits from a young age. I am now 65. I have NEVER had a dental practitioner as skilled in delivering effective PAINLESS local anesthesia as Dr. P. My phobia is the numbing needle. Dr. P is the best. No pain with initial injection, effective block for the procedure, and no hours and hours of numb face/mouth after. Post operative pain has always been minimal and short lived. As a professional, I am always satisfied and my expectations have ALWAYS been exceeded. I am a very satisfied patient here. The new office is also very nice. The office staff is professional, caring, and very friendly. Yes, I am a very satisfied patient! I think you will be also.

I hate going to the dentist, every time Ive gone to the dentist I have had the worst experience, my teeth have always been very sore the next day. So as a result I have not been to the dentist in over 10yrs... so you can guess I wasnt happy to see the dentist but I couldnt handle the teeth pain anymore. After two fillings and two crowns I can honestly say my experience has been great. Their entire staff is very professional yet super friendly. Dr. Kim-Aun is super gentle and walked me through the entire proceedure not once was my teeth sore after a visit, I cant use novocaine because of my allergies, even with no numbing I never felt any pain. Dr Kim-Aun is so cool, he is from Germany yet Koren, he has a German accent with a great sense of humor. Cant recommend them enough!

I am someone who is terrified of the dentist. I see Dr. Prasith Kim-Aun. He is very sensitive to my anxiety, and treats me with care. I have been going to him for several years, and could not imagine going anywhere else. I always tell him that I HATE the dentist, but I love him. He also is a master at the painless shot. He is truly amazing. I would highly recommend him. His wife is also a dentist there. I hate a terrible tooth ache on the weekend and I called their number and got her. She immediately called in an antibiotic and some pain meds until I could see her. She made sure I got in first thing and took excellent care of me. I give them 100 stars, and highly recommend them. They do have a new office staff. As mentioned in the last review.

I rate my dental experience with Dr. Prasith Kim-Aun as excellent. I have admittedly described myself as a "chicken" when it comes to visiting the dentist. I recently made my third visit to University Place Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. The staff is very friendly and makes you very comfortable. Once you are in the chair, Dr. Prasith Kim-Aun explains the procedure in detail and ensures you are comfortable. During my visits, I had some very serious dental work performed. I must admit (the chicken) did not feel any pain. I rated Dr. Prasith Kim-Aun and University Place Family and Cosmetic Dentistry five stars because the scale did not permit a higher rating.

Im terrified of the dentist like most, but had the best experience here!! I had to get my wisdom teeth out and the dentist, assistants, and staff made me feel so comfortable and did everything to make sure the process was as painless as possible. Dr. P is very gentle and performed a lot of extra steps to address any types of pain I could feel. I had a ton of questions and nothing got started before I had them all thoroughly answered. The whole staff was very friendly and I would recommend this office for any time of dental work you might need!

My 13 year old daughter does not like going to the Dentist. Really, its worse than pulling teeth, you know what I mean. We have been going to Doctor P. for about 6 years now and she had a filling this morning. Here are her words: no pain, not mean, friendly, explains things well, Assistant was very helpful, made you feel at ease. I would highly recommend UP Family Dentistry. Staff are very caring, take great pride in doing a quality job and they do. Thank you for taking such great care of my daughter.

Oh my gosh! I had a teeth cleaning and wisdom tooth pulled. I told them that I have had a terrible experience with dentists..and they took amazing care of me. I was so traumatized before coming here that I had skipped going to the dentist for about 8 years :/ I was very impressed by the care they took, not just my dentist but the assistants as well. Just amazing. I have referred two people and they are referring their family as well. Hopefully well all end up coming here because they deserve it indefinitely!

I have always had a good experience with the dentists I have visited, but Dr. Kims dentistry is an exception. Everyone is extremely gracious and helpful, from the receptionist to the hygienist to Dr. Kim himself. The work itself is always expertly and quickly done. Each procedure is carefully explained and the results have been very positive and long lasting. I recommend Dr. Kims practice to anyone seeking the highest quality dental care!

Ive never looked forward to an appointment as much as I do with these guys. The entire staff is amazingly hospitable and friendly, and really make a personal connection from day one. Ive had basic check ups and my wisdom teeth removed by them, and both times they did well to make small talk, walk me through the process, and go out of their way to keep my comfort at priority number one. Highly reccommended to anyone in the Tacoma area.

I could not be more satisfied with the dental care I receive at this office. Ive had several semi-annual checkups/cleanings, and recently had a crown installed on a cracked tooth. Had a previous crown a year ago. Dr. Kim-Aun is friendly, efficient, and has a painless technique for numbing the area needing his attention. I highly recommend this dental office.

Lets start with the fact I am needle phobic and have avoided dentists for years. Dr. Kim is amazing, he should be listed as a gentle dentist as he is so thorough and yet takes the time to not only explain but ensure it is a pain free experience. Worst front desk staff. Receptionist (Debbie) is always rude and condescending. I was a patient for over 3 years. I complained multiple times and found that other patients had the same experience and still this issue was never taken care of.

My daughter loves the care she gets from the staff. They are very professional and friendly. It was hard leaving our hometown and finding a new dentist, but we are definitely happy we found University Place Family & Cosmetic Dentistry.
