I had a horrible experience with a Jerome Ferraro DDS in Brooklyn when I was just a kid. Grandmas Dentist. He hated kids. Zero novicaine. I jumped, he drilled my tongue, I think on purpose. I have DPTSD. Dentist PTSD. Everyone at Proto Dental is so sweet. Kind, professional. No shocks from the novicaine. Dr. Proto knows exactly what he is doing. And, does it extremely well. I had four teeth pulled yesterday. Two implants. ZERO pain. Dr. Proto called me last night to see how I felt and to make sure I was taking the amoxicillin. My ex, his wife, my two girls (who travel from Oneonta and Hoboken for appts with Dr. Proto), my Husband and I would not go anywhere else. This Dental Office is gem. Highly recommended.

I just switched to Dr. Proto based upon a friends referral. I needed MAJOR dental work done and wanted to make sure I had the best of the best. Well, I did! Instead of trying to hide my teeth when I smiled, I freely smile bigger than ever! Dr. Proto is gentle and a perfectionist when it comes to his work. To me, he is like an artist who settles for nothing less than a masterpiece. He has all the top technology and equipment needed. All the dental assistants, hygienists and ladies in the office are sweet and always so pleasant. I travel pretty far for him. But, it is definitely worth it. Clearly , I highly recommend Dr.Proto!

Dr. Christopher Proto of ProtoDental has been my dentist for the last 10 years. Dr. Proto is so professional, takes his time with each patient and is conservative in his approach to dentistry. He will never talk you into a service you dont need. From the front desk to the check out, the staff makes it a seamless experience. Staff is welcoming and friendly. I. Ever have to wait and never feel rushed. I have bi- yearly cleanings with Kathy. X-Rays are only used when needed. They even have stopped asking me "do you use your mouth guard at night?" Simply lost a cap however it was late on NYs Eve...Ugh! On their next day back in the office, Dr.Proto and his amazing staff were able to fit me into a very tight schedule. As always, the warmth and genuine concern was apparent from the moment I entered the front door. I drive from the Port Jefferson area to this Babylon location because they are far and away...the best. My adult children travel from NYC to the office that has taken care of their dental needs for over 30 years. No question, Dr. Proto and his staff are worth the effort because theyre THAT good.
