I have sufffered with dental problems for most of my life. I inherited my fathers teeth, and they are very weak with little to no enamel. This makes me especially susceptible to cavities, and makes it difficult for fillings to "stick". Usually, within a year or two, I am back at the dentist getting a filling RE-filled.... I was told by several dentists (previously) that most likely by the time I was 40, re-filling would no longer be an option, because there wouldnt be much tooth left to work with...and I would eventually need to get them all pulled and get dentures. I believe I have seen every dentist in the surrounding area at one point or another (or at least it feels like it!), and I SO wish I had found Genesee Dental about 15 years ago, when the problems REALLY started! I just started going to them last year..and they have been AMAZING! I recently got all the top teeth (that were left) pulled, and the dentist and assistants have been incredible. No matter how many adjustments I need, or questions I have, they always take the time to make sure I am satisfied. My children both go there as well and they LOVE it there! You cannot imagine how awesome it is to actually have my children ENJOY to going to the dentist!! They are great with the kids, too--very understanding and patient and always make sure that whoever the patient is, is comfortable and calm. The TVs in each "area" are nice too, if you need a distraction. I have never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointment, and if by chance I have to reschedule, they are wonderful about switching, and make sure to get me in asap. If you call with questions or concerns, you get an answer the same day, and if you are in pain they make it a priority to get you in as quick as possible and taken care of. I could go on and on.....(well, I guess I have!)... but I just NEVER imagined I would EVER be able to NOT despise going to the dentist...... There simply arent enough good things to say about Genesee Dental! They are fantastic, all around! :)

This is an extremely long review but I cannot say enough about how caring and talented Dr. Keck and the staff are here. They went above and beyond to help my almost 2 year old who had severely broken three of her front teeth and was in a lot of pain. I had a very difficult time with our insurance and they were the ONLY office between Canandaigua, Victor, Pittsford, Rochester (yes, I really called that many!) that didnt turn us away and they did WAY more than they needed to do to help us figure it out. Even when it looked like we werent covered and couldnt afford treatment, they told us to come in anyway because, well, it was an emergency and she needed a doctor ASAP! "Well figure the finances out later, just get her in!" She ended up needing the three teeth pulled and general anesthesia wasnt an option due to her small size (this was all right before Christmas and because of how severe the damage was and the risk of serious infection was so great, I chose not to attempt the "antibiotic until next week until someone else may be able to put her under" route) so we had to do it while she was awake with local anesthesia. In fact, Dr. Keck was almost in tears too while telling me the bad news. Dr. Keck and the assistant did everything they needed to do SO quickly and with SO much kindness toward both my daughter and me. They even encouraged me to nurse her immediately after to help calm and smooth her. I didnt even have to ask, they suggested it! I am so grateful for everyone at this office that I am willing to drive the hour and 20 minutes from where we live for them to be my and my daughters permanent dentist. THANK YOU, EVERYONE who helped us at Genesee Dental through a very unfortunate and painful time. Ill also note that my daughter was eating dinner and running around like nothing had happened when we got home. We are forever grateful! <3

Ive been going to Genesee Dental for a few years now. I absolutely love it there. I started going with my family and it went really well. Ive had to have 2 molars taken out, 1 cap on a front tooth, and at least 3 fillings (unfortunately). Dr Calos is an awesome dentist. Every time Ive seen him, hes always in an upbeat mood and calm, which helps me to chill out and relax. When Im in a positive atmosphere, I be good. Only bad thing that I can say about this practice is that one of my fillings was very weird. Whenever I drank anything ice cold or quite warm, Id feel it pop. Now, I dont know when it happened, but I know that half of that filling is gone, from it cracking in half (dont know how) and not knowing that it was gone until I felt at my tooth with my tongue. So, that is the only bad thing. The greatest dental practice Ive ever been to, and hopefully the only one Ill have to see again!!! Love all the people that work there like family, and they treat me the same. Recommend all who are looking for amazing dentistry with a positive atmosphere to Genesee Dental!

I have 5 children (ages ranging from 18 to 6) and drive from Ithaca, NY to seek care from Genesee Dental. It is totally worth the drive. From the very first time I called to make an appointment, I was treated with such professionalism. The office staff patiently looked for appointments that would meet my demanding schedule --which is no easy task. Once we arrived, the office staff promptly checked us in and the hygienists were so welcoming. They took their time to explain to my kids what was going to happen at the visit. At our most recent visit, my 3 little ones had sealants applied and had their 6 month cleanings. We have had amazing care (fillings) from Dr. Keck and have received expert advice from Dr. Krough and Dr. Mayou in regards to "big kid" concerns like wisdom teeth extractions. I without hesitation highly recommend Genesee Dental.

I cant say enough good things about Genesee Dental and the staff. I have been going there for many years and each time I walk in, to the time I leave, its like I never left home....they treat you as part of their family. Everyone treats you with kindness, respect, compassion, etc. Each individual employed there is such a great asset and I feel very fortunate that I found them. They really do care about people and their smiles. Thank you again for all you have done and are doing for me. I highly recommend anyone looking for outstanding dentists and staff, excellent and reasonable dental work to give them a call. I am one very Happy, Satisfied customer!

My husband went in and had his tooth filled last week. He has been in excruciating pain ever since. He called back and they called in an antibiotic and refused to pull it, saying he should try and get a root canal. He was on the antibiotics for a few days, still in awful pain, so he called back. They tried to give him a script for ibuprofen, which he has been taking already to combat the pain. He called for a third time, in tears, begging for them to see him, to see whats wrong, and hopefully pull the tooth. They cant see him for a week and a half. Needless to say, he is on his way to see a different dentist.
