I saw with this office about a cavity that had started to give me extreme amount of pain last week. I called them and they got me in right away to assess the situation, without hesitation, even though it was the end of the day. I saw Dr. Hammitt and he was very professional and very thorough with the exam. The assistant was wonderful and caring. I was given a referral for an oral surgeon and brought back in to get a filling. I was relieved to have them get me in asap when I asked for a schedule change. Everything was explained to me and every question was answered clearly on both visits. The work done by Dr. Hammitt and assistant was painless and swift. The staff up front are very sweet and they are the very people you would hope to meet at a dentist office. They immediately put you at ease and reassured. There was barely a wait time to be seen once checked in. I will definitely be coming back and will be recommending Dr. Hammitt and office.

I am completely happy and grateful for coming across this dental office. I was anxious and hesitant to see any dentist regarding severe pain in my right jaw. I was very impressed to walk in and be warmly greeted by the front desk. I hardly spent anytime waiting and was called in rather quickly. I wish I could remember the name of the first professional who attended me but she was very kind, soft spoken and gentle when taking my x-rays. A TV screen showing various beautiful places and cultures from all over the world would display easing my tension. Dr Hammitt was very professional. He took the time to explain exactly what I was dealing with and made sure all my questions were answered. He referred me out to see an oral surgeon and explained his recommendation for my care. As I was leaving they again were very warm as they stated their farewell. I am so happy and will return for my follow up for many years to come.

I came to see Dr. Sherwin because I was looking for a dentist in Orange but also because I had an abscessed tooth. As soon as I walked into the office and talked with Linda and the other wonderful staff, I knew this was the office for me. They were so friendly and genuinely nice. My abscess had already swollen half of my face. Bettina and Dr. Sherwin were so kind and attentive and knew that I needed an oral surgeon. Everyone worked to get me an appointment that day and I was so thankful. They were on the phone with an oral surgeon in Charlottesville and I had an appointment within an hour. This was my first appointment with Dr. Sherwin and the care and concern that everyone showed was so wonderful and I cant thank them enough.

In the past, one of my greatest phobias was the bi-annual trip to the dentist. Then, a number of years ago, my family switched to Dr. Sherwin’s practice, and we have since been extremely pleased with our decision. Dr. Sherwin and his professional staff always go out of their way to make our visits a comfortable, if not pleasurable experience. In my opinion, Dr. Sherwin is an excellent and experienced dentist who is very well trained in his craft and I am grateful to him for making our visits as close to pain-free as one could ever expect. Their offices are always clean, modern, and have the latest hi-tech equipment. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Go to see him!

I had been going to Neibaur dental in Culpeper and I wasnt very pleased with them and I was looking for a dentist in Orange. I made the appt with the office of Ted Sherwin and had a great experience. All of the employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. I saw the new dentist (sorry I cant remember his name) and he was very pleasant as well. I didnt feel like I was in assembly line of patients, they make you feel like an important patient and take their time with you to address your concerns and questions. I am definitely happier with this dentist and plan on being a long time patient. :)

I have terrible dental phobias! Today was my first visit to Dr. Sherwins office and I felt totally safe and relaxed almost from the moment I walked in. Dr. Sherwins staff are really terrific -- kind, caring and willing to do whatever it takes for you to build trust and to feel comfortable. Tina and Bertina were both kind and accommodating, but also extremely professional and knowledgeable. And I love their holistic approach to dentistry.

I couldnt be happier with my dental experience in Dr. Sherwins office. you couldnt find a nicer and more pleasant team. I felt that Bettina was very professional and did all that she could to make me comfortable while explaining every step of todays work and what to expect in the days ahead.
