My family found an injured bird in a parking lot with an eye infection. Took her home , put her in a spacious cage and started feeding her. We gave her the name “Fibi” Next morning she became very active and friendly , felt much better, started chirping singing” all morning . We gained her trust! Worried about her possible eye infection got on the phone and we contacted Brewster Veterinary Hospital. We said we found a wild bird and my wife preferred to nurture the birdie back to good health at home. We were told indeed that they treat birds and were strongly advised to drop the bird off at the hospital for treatment and a later release. My wife dropped her off – to a not so kind front desk person - and was provided a business card so we can inquire later about her condition. Next day we called and found out our little bird Fibi died and will be incinerated ! We were told she died probably because of stress being caged among cats and dogs alone. We cant imagine Fibi’s disappointment after trusting humans basically feeling betrayed and left to die a horrific death. We let her down leaving behind at this place …after my wife heard her final scream.. Seeing my children with teary eyes… Please take your pet bird to another place if you have one in trouble. Response to Mr Wilsons comment Dear Mr Wilson When calling the animal hospital, my first question was “ how much would be the cost of a visit” ” . We had no intention to leave the bird at the hospital but to get a diagnosis and some medication for her illness. I was strongly encouraged to bring the bird in, leave there for treatment so she can be released later , When we picked up the bird in the parking lot , indeed she was disoriented. After feeding her,by the next morning the bird acted very healthy, had very good coordination except the symptoms on her eye remained . Whomever I spoke with the next day at the hospital said the bird probably died because of stress - being held in a noisy place. Since the bird was very active and loud when brought in it is not acceptable her dying within the following 24 hours due to just an eye infection. Tamas Baranya

They were so caring and compassionate with my cat who had Cancer right to the very end! I cant say enough great things about this place. Dr. N was so thorough and explained all of our options. They were also very accommodating with making appointments. We were very impressed with the live person we were able to speak to 24 hours a day!

My dog had a tear on his ear that would not heal - it needed to be cauterized and followed - the vet we were using quoted us $1700 - We thought that was a little crazy so we asked around and heard about Dr. Wilson. Dr. Wilson fixed the tear and followed up for about $500. The office is no frills but the love and professionalism is there.

Dr. Wilson was always good, newer dr is a bit overzealous and seemed to be suggesting surgery for my 15 year old dog
